본고는 형식명사와 조사가 결합한 형태의 복합형식을 중심으로 해당 조사의 격조사성과 복합조사화를 검토하였다. 일반적으로 복합조사 연구는 해당용법의 의미, 복합조사를 구성하는 술어 및 형식명사를 중심으로 분석된 것이 많았다. 이와는 대조적으로 본 연구에서는 복합조사를 구성하는 조사 ‘のを’ ‘ところを’ ‘うえで’ ‘ところで’를 중심으로, 해당 조사의 격조사성이 어떻게 상실되어 가는지를 연구대상으로 하였다. 격조사는 명사에 결합하여 명사구를 구성하는데, 본고의 연구대상인 복합형식은 명사와 조사가 결합하는 형태임에도 불구하고 절 단위의 연결을 표시하는 접속조사적인 기능을 나타내고 있다. 또한 해당형식에서는 격조사적인 성질을 가지는 용법과 접속조사적인 기능을 하는 용법이 존재한다. 이와 같이 용법이 나뉘게 되는 것에는 복합형식을 구성하는 조사의 격조사성의 희박화가 관련되어 있다고 여겨진다. 이러한 논의를 위해 본고에서는 해당형식의 격조사성을 검토하기 위한 몇 가지 문법적 테스트를 실시하였다. 그 결과 해당형식의 격조사적 용법은 격조사적 성질이 남아 있으며, 접속조사 용법에서는 격조사성이 희박해진 것으로 확인이 되었다. 또한 개개의 복합형식과 그 용법에서는 격조사성 희박화의 정도성에서도 차이를 보이고 있었다. 이러한 논의를 통해서 금후에 형식명사와 조사가 결합된 다양한 복합형식의 복합조사화를 살펴볼 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
In this paper, I analyzed the dilution of property of case particle and the conversion of the compound particle in the compound form. Generally, there were many studies of compound particle which were analyzed the meaning of the usages with focussing on the predicate and the formal noun in the compound form. On the other hand, in this paper I analyzed the dilution of property of the case particle o and de in the compound form no-o, tokoro-o, ue-de, tokoro-de. Generally, case particle constitute noun phrase which is combined noun, in contrast the compound forms in this paper have the usages of conjunctive particle. Moreover, there are the use of case particle and the use of the conjunctive particle in these compound forms. I assume that the existing of the two usages in the compound form has a connection with the dilution of property of case particle. In other to discuss this point, I tested some of the grammatical conditions. The results indicated that the use of case particle in the compound forms has the property of the case particle, but the property of case particle is diluted in the use of conjunctive in the compound forms. Moreover, there are differences of degree of dilution of property of case particle in these compound forms and usages. From now on, this discussion will be expected in the conversion of compound particle in the compound particles compounded formal noun with particle type.
