본 논문은 House의 번역품질평가 모델을 기반으로 중국 관영매체 정치뉴스의 한국어 번역물을 비평하고 번역 품질 개선을 위한 제안을 하였다. 우선, 선행연구 에서 현재까지 중국 관영매체의 한국어 번역에 대한 연구가 중요한 성과를 거두지 못하고 있는 점, ST의 기능을 소홀히 한 채 문법이나 어휘 측면에서 번역물을 평가하고 충분한 근거나 기준 없이 자국화 또는 이국화 등 기존의 번역전략을 주장하고 있는 점을 확인하였다. 그러므로 본고에서는 House의 번역품질평가 모델을 검토하였고 이를 진단도구로 삼아 한국어 번역물 사례를 대상으로 ST와 TT의 기능을 분석하였는데 다음과 같은 불일치를 발견하였다. 담화장의 경우, TT는 직역 때문에 어색한 표현이 많이 나타나 ST의 기능과 공식성을 손상시킨 것을 확인하였다. 담화관계의 경우, TT는 권위성 및 공식성뿐만 아니라 논리성과 결속성 또한 많이 떨어진 것을 확인하였다. 담화매체의 경우 TT는 낭독 수준의 문어체를 가질 수가 없었고 TT의 독자가 중국인 독자만큼 친근감을 느끼기에 제한이 있는 것을 확인하였다. 장르의 경우, TT는 번역투를 많이 띤 어색한 번역문밖에 될 수 없었다. 이상 연구 결과를 바탕으로 제4장에서 관영매체의 역할 및 과제, 학계의 입장 및 역할, 번역자의 자질 등 세 가지 측면에서 번역의 개선 방향을 제시하였고 실제 번역 작업을 진행 할 때 적용되는 번역전략을 다음과 같은 세 가지로 제안하였다. 첫째, ST의 기능을 충분히 파악해야 한다. ST의 기능을 파악하는 것이 적절한 번역 전략을 통해 기능적 등가를 이룰 수 있는 전제이다. 둘째, 내재적 번역과 외현적 번역을 판단해야 한다. 역사, 정치 용어와 사회주의적 표현은 외현적 번역으로 하며 이를 제외한 다른 내용은 내재적 번역으로 한다. 셋째, ST와 TT의 문화적 차이를 신중하게 검토해야 한다.
This paper examined the Chinese-Korean translation of political news in China's official media, and found that so far, the relevant research on the Korean translation of Chinese official media has not achieved significant results, and most studies ignore the textual function of the original text, evaluate the translation with subjective judgment and put forward translation strategies. Referring to house's translation quality evaluation model, this paper criticized and analyzed the Korean translation of official media’s political news from the aspects of register (field, tenor, style) and genre, and obtained the following conclusions. In terms of language field, the translation fails to have the function of the original text and loses its authority. In terms of tenor, the translation does not have news and formality. In terms of style, the translation fails to reach the level of written style. In terms of genre, the translation does not have the genre characteristics of news. According to the evaluation results, the following improvement schemes and translation strategies were proposed. First, the official media should pay attention to the quality of translation and cultivate high-level translators; Second, the academic community should create a good research atmosphere; Third, translators should improve their professional quality and ability. The specific translation strategies are as follows: first, fully analyze the textual function of the original text; Secondly, explicit translation method and implicit translation method are determined; Third, fully consider cultural differences.
