This study examined the productivity of ‘geolida’ and discussed thedegrammaticalization of it. The characteristics of ‘geolida’ are as follow: First,one syllable can not be a leading element, and a reduplication form of more thanone syllable can be primarily a leading element. Second, ‘X-geolida’ has themeaning as ‘to repeat or keep saying about X’. Third, the phrase unit becomesa leading element, the sentence is unnatural if the degree adverb is inserted, andthe clause unit with both the subject and the predicate is difficult to become aleading element. Fourth, when the leading element of ‘geolida’ is a syntactic unit,it does not fit well with the positive element. Fifth, the vocabulary of a class ofantonymous relations can be a leading element, but is limited to some vocabulary. In Chapter 4, after examining the concept of Degrammaticalization, we discussedwhether ‘geolida’ is in process of degrammaticalization. In conclusion, it wasconfirmed that ‘geolida’ was in the process of degrammaticalization.
