본 연구는 다문화배경 청년에 관한 선행연구의 동향을 파악하고 과제를 제시하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 본 연구는 2012-2021년까지 발표된 18편의 논문을 선정하여 발표연도 및 학술지, 연구대상, 연구방법, 연구내용 등을 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 첫째, 발표된 연구는 18편에 불과하며 최근 증가하고 있다. 둘째, 발표된 학술지는 16개이다. 셋째, 연구대상은 중도입국청년에서 전체 다문화배경 청년으로 확대되고 있다. 넷째, 연구방법은 주로 질적 연구에 치우쳐 있다. 다섯째, 연구주제는 성인기로 진입하는 청년이 직면한 문제나 욕구가 주로 다루어졌다. 앞으로의 과제는 첫째, 학술지의 기획주제로 선정해 관련 연구를 늘리고 학제 간 연구를 활성화시켜야 한다. 둘째, 종단자료를 비롯한 다양한 양적자료를 확충해야 한다. 셋째, 진학, 취업, 결혼, 주택 등에 관한 연구가 필요하다.
The purpose of this study is to identify the trends of previous research on young adults from multi-cultural backgrounds and to suggest future tasks. In this regard, 18 papers published in 2012-2021 were analyzed focusing on publication year, journal, research subject, research method, and research topic. As a result of this study, first, studies are increasing recently. Second, it was published in 16 academic journals. Third, the subject of research is expanding. Fourth, research methods are biased towards qualitative research. Fifth, the research topic mainly the problems or needs faced by the young adults. Future tasks are, first, it is necessary to increase research and to activate interdisciplinary research. Second, it is necessary to conduct research on subgroups and expand quantitative data including longitudinal data. Third, research on education, employment, marriage, and housing is necessary.
