This paper aims to examine the transnational consciousness and expressions of overseas Chinese in North American Chinese- language fictions published in the last 20 years. It also aims to examine the relationship of the transnational literature with the overseas Chinese-language literature which is a part of the transnational migrant literature. Many things are expressed in the North American Chinese- language fictions. In today's world, the transnational movements of resources, information, and people are becoming commonplace and accelerating. In addition, humans, from individuals to human level, are virtually connected to each other in real time in the same space in any way. A transnational consciousness is being formed, and cultural hybridization and identity changes are taking place around the world. All these changes suggest that the pattern in which we have been thinking and acting on a nation basis may change. As a part of the transnational migrant literature, the overseas Chinese-language literature is not a bridge or channel between China and any other nations in the world, nor is the border between Chinese literature and any other national literature. It is a literature with a completely different dimension that does not belong to national literature in all aspects, such as language, story, and discourse, but at the same time cannot be attributed to the category of non-national literature. Of course, overseas Chinese-language literature does not automatically become transnational literature. However, it is clear that the former has many contacts with the latter. Mobility, variability, and hybridity, which are common in overseas Chinese- language literature, demonstrate transnational consciousness. It raises the question of our perception of the world as a mosaic of nation-states and seeks to construct a new perception that is different from that.
