우리나라는 전통적으로 차를 마시기 위한 특별한 복식은 따로 없는데 이는 행사의 성격과 경중(輕重)에 따라 대례복, 소례복, 평상복을 신분에 맞춰 착용하는 것이기에 특별히 다례복(茶禮服)이란 명칭의 복식이 존재하지 않는 것이다. 현재 다례에 사용하는 헌다복(獻茶服)은 현대 차문화 성장 속에 생겨난 것으로 주로 제례복인 천담복(淺淡服)을 사용하는데 헌다례는 흉례(凶禮) 외 길례(吉禮)도 있으므로 헌다복도 전통 전통 복식에 따라 대례(大禮), 소례(小禮) 등의 해당 복식을 갖추는 것으로 변경해야 될 것이다.
