본 연구는 부모의 부부갈등이 유아의 신체발달에 미치는 영향을 확인하고, 이 관계를 어머니의 우울이 매개하는지를 알아보는데 목적이 있다. 본 연구의 자료는 육아정책연구소의 한국아동패널 7차년도(2014) 데이터를 사용하였다. 측정변수에 대한 연구대상의 일반적인 응답현황과 변수 간의 관계를 파악하기 위해 기술통계와 상관관계 분석을 실시하였으며, 부부갈등이 유아의 신체발달에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위해 Baron과 Kenny의 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과 부부갈등과 어머니의 우울 및 유아신체발달 중 유아신장 발달 간에 전반적으로 유의미한 상관을 보였다. 특히 모부부갈등과 유아신장 사이에서 모우울의 매개 역할을 확인하였다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 유아의 신체발달에 영향을 미치는 요인으로서 모우울에 관한 논의의 기반을 마련하였다.
The purpose of this study is to confirm the effect of parental marital conflict on the physical development of children and whether this relationship is mediated by mother's depression. Data from this study used data from the 7th year of the Korean Children's Panel (2014) of the Child Care Policy Research Institute. Descriptive statistics and correlation analysis were conducted to understand the general response status of the study subjects and the relationship between variables, and multiple linear regression analysis was conducted to find out the effect of marital conflict on the physical development of children. The study showed there was a significant overall correlation between marital conflict, mother's depression, and child’s height development. In particular, the mediating role of maternal depression between mother’s marital conflict and child’s height was confirmed. Based on these results, the basis for discussion on mother depression was laid as a factor influencing the physical development of children.
