본 연구는 Q방법론을 활용하여 기독교수의 소명에 관한 인식 유형과 특성을 파악하였다. 기독교수의 소명에 대한 Q모집단을 구성하고 33문항의 Q진술문을 Q표본으로 추출한 후 기독교수 36명을 P샘플로 선정하여 33개의 Q표본을 Q분류를 통해 자료를 수집한 후 QUANL 프로그램으로 주요인 분석을 실시하였다. 연구 결과 기독교수의 소명에 대한 인식은 4개의 유형으로 분류되었다. 제1유형은 ‘삶으로 전해지는 긍정적 영향력 강조’로 기독교인으로서의 삶을 살아감으로 학생들에게 긍정적인 영향력을 끼쳐야 함을 강조하는 유형이다. 제2유형은 ‘성경적 세계관에 근거한 전공학문 연구 강조’로 전공학문을 성경적 세계관에 근거하여 연구하고 가르치는 것을 강조하며 학문의 영역에서 하나님의 주권을 회복하는 것을 중요하게 인식하는 유형이다. 제3유형은 ‘기독교 신앙 강조’로 기독교수의 소명을 하나님의 은혜로 보고, 소명을 이루어감에 있어서 하나님의 동행하심과 성령님의 도우심이 필요하다고 인식하는 유형이다. 마지막으로 제4유형은 ‘부르심과 사명 강조’로 기독교수로서의 부르심을 특별하게 받아들이고 그 사명을 다하기 위해서 노력해야 함을 강조하는 유형이다. 본 연구 결과는 기독교수의 소명에 대한 주관적인 개념을 확인하고 이를 토대로 기독교수의 소명에 대한 이해와 그 중요성을 인식시킬 수 있는 기초자료로 활용될 것이다. 또한, 본 연구를 통해 제시된 기독교수의 소명에 대한 인식유형은 기독교수의 소명의식 고취와 역량향상을 위한 교육과정 및 교육프로그램 개발 등의 후속 연구에 기초자료로 활용될 것으로 기대한다.
This study used the Q methodology to analyze the types and characteristics of Christian professors’ perceptions on calling. A Q population for the calling of Christian professors was formed, 33 Q-statements were extracted as Q samples, 36 Christians were selected as P samples, 33 Q samples were collected through Q-classification, and major analysis was conducted with the QUANL program. As a result of the study, Christian professors' perception on calling was classified into four types. Type 1 is a type that emphasizes ‘the need to have a positive influence on students’ while living the life of a Christian. Type 2 focuses on ‘the major studies and research based on biblical worldviews,’ which emphasizes research and teaching of major studies based on biblical worldviews and recognizes the restoration of God's sovereignty in their study areas. The third type emphasizes ‘the Christian faith,’ which sees the calling of a Christian as God's grace and recognizes the need for God's companionship and the help of the Holy Spirit in achieving the calling. Type 4 perceives their roles as Christian professors as a special calling from God and strive to fulfill the mission as they emphasize ‘the calling and mission.’ The results of this study will be used as primary data to confirm the subjective concept of 'calling' understood and recognized by the Christian professors and the importance of the Christian professors’ calling based on this. In addition, this study will serve as an opportunity to raise the sense of calling and improve the capacity of Christian professors as it will be used as the primary data for follow-up studies, such as the development of curriculum and educational program to foster the identity of Christian professors.
