본 연구는 지역방송 기자들의 취재관행을 찾기 위한 시도이다. 특히 오보 및 편향성 보도에 나타난 지역방송의 뉴스생산 과정과 취재관행을 밝히는데 목적이 있다. 지금까지 취재관행에 관한 국내외 연구는 뉴스조직과 출입처, 정보원을 중심으로 이루어져왔다. 본 연구에서는 지역방송의 취재관행을 조직구조와 취재시스템, 지역특수성으로 나누어 분석하였다. 연구방법으로는 질적연구를 채택하여 지역방송 기자들에 대한 심층인터뷰를 실시했으며, 인터뷰어는 한 지역의 지상파 3사와 뉴스전문케이블, 지역케이블사(SO)의 취재기자 중 5~10년 차 경력기자들을 선별하였다. 인터뷰 진행 결과 지역방송의 취재관행으로 ‘받아쓰기’, ‘따라쓰기’, ‘주고받기’, ‘역할분담’ 등이 나타나는 것을 확인하였다. 본 연구가 특정 지역에서 제한된 연구를 진행하였으므로, 향후 후속 연구를 통해 지역방송 전체의 취재관행에 관한 일반화 연구가 이루어질 필요가 있음을 제언한다.
This study is an attempt to find the reporting routine of local broadcasting reporters. In particular, the purpose is to reveal the news production process and reporting routine of local broadcasts that appeared in misinformation and bias reports. Reporting routine has been conducted centering on news organizations, beat, and source. In this study, the reporting routine is organizational structure, reporting system, and regional specificity. As a research method, qualitative research was adopted and in-depth interviews. The interviewer selected reporters with 5 to 10 years of experience from three terrestrial broadcasters, news cables, and local cable companies (SO). It was confirmed that ‘dictating’, ‘following’, ‘giving and receiving’, and ‘sharing roles’ appeared as the reporting practices of local broadcasting. Since this study has conducted limited research in one region, it is suggested that generalized research on the reporting practices of the entire local broadcasting needs to be conducted through follow-up studies in the future.
