본 연구는 유아기 자녀를 둔 부모의 관계지향성과 공동체 의식 간의 관계에서 유아교육기관 구성원에 대한 정(情)과 교육공동체 구성원의 범위 인식이 매개효과가 있는지 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 유아교육기관에 자녀를 보내고 있는 3개 대·소도시에 거주하는 만 2-6세 유아의 부모 258명으로부터 4개 변인을 측정하는 설문지를 사용하여 자료를 수집하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 21.0으로 상관분석과 Process macro를 활용한 병렬적 매개효과 분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과, 먼저, 부모의 관계지향성, 구성원에 대한 정, 교육공동체 구성원의 범위 인식 및 공동체 의식 간에는 모두 정적 상관이 있었다. 다음으로, 부모의 관계지향성은 구성원에 대한 정과 교육공동체 구성원의 범위 인식 각각을 매개로 하여 공동체 의식에 유의한 영향을 미쳤으며, 두 매개 변인의 매개효과 간에는 유의한 차이가 있고 구성원에 대한 정의 매개효과가 더 컸다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 유아교육공동체 구현에 대한 요구가 높은 시점에 부모의 공동체 의식 증진을 위한 교육현장의 실천 방안에 대한 시사점을 논의하였다.
The purpose of this study was to investigate whether Jeong towards members of the educational community and recognition of the scope of members had a mediating effect on the relationship between the relationship-orientation of parents with young children and the sense of community of early childhood education institutions. For this, data were collected using a questionnaire measuring four variables from 258 parents of children aged 2-6 who live in three cities sending their children to early childhood education institutions. To analyze the data, correlation analysis using SPSS 21.0 and parallel mediating effect analysis using Hayes’ Process macro were performed. As a result of the study, first of all, there was a positive correlation between parental relationship-orientation, Jeong towards members of the educational community, recognition of the scope of members, and sense of community. Next, parental relationship-orientation had a significant effect on the sense of community of early childhood education institutions through each of the Jeong towards members of the educational community and recognition of the scope of members. There was a significant difference between the mediating effects of the two mediating variables, and the mediating effect for Jeong towards members was greater. Based on these results, at a time when there is a high demand for the realization of an early childhood education community, implications for the practical plan of the educational field to enhance parents' sense of community were discussed.
