본고는 갈수록 가속화되는 현대사회를 비판적으로 분석하면서 로자의 ‘울림(resonance)’이론을 통하여 이를 극복할 바람직한 교육적 방향을 고찰한다. 현대인들은 역동적 안정화와 경쟁의 구조적 요소에 의존하면서, 좋은 삶을 수행력의 양적 기준에 따름으로써, 도구적, 전략적 존재로 전락하게 된다. 이에 따라 현대인들은 자신, 타인, 세계로부터 소외를 경험한다. 좋은 삶은 인간과 세계의 다양한 차원의 관계망과 그 관계의 질에 달려 있고, ‘울림’은 주체가 상호 응답하는 세계에서 지속적이고 안정적인 관계를 이끈다. 울림은 이질적 존재 간의 적응적 변화, 정체성 형성의 의지적 행위, 지속적이며 상호적인 만남이라는 점에서 유사개념인 조화, 관계, 심리적 만족 등과 구분된다. 학교는 세상의 문제에 대하여 성찰하도록 하며, 세상과의 관계에서 자신의 가치관을 형성하며, 적응적으로 세상을 변화시키는 울림의 공간이다. 학교는 울림의 축을 열거나 닫고 관계의 질을 형성시킨다. 그것의 성패는 교사와 학생과 교육내용 사이에 서로 다가가며, 감흥을 주며, 목소리를 내게 만드는 울림의 존재가 관건이다. 울림의 교육은 학습자에게 앞으로 마주하는 새로운 사물과 세상에 대하여 내재적 관심과 자아효능감을 가지고 접근하도록 할 것이다.
This paper critically analyzes the increasingly accelerating modern society and examines the desirable educational direction to overcome it through Rosa's theory of 'resonance'. Modern people become instrumental and strategic by relying on the structural elements of dynamic stabilization and competition, following the quantitative standards of performance. Accordingly, modern people experience alienation from themselves, others, and the world. A good life depends on the network of relationships between humans and the world at various levels and the quality of their relationship. "Resonance" leads to a continuous and stable relationship in a world where subjects respond mutually. Resonance is distinguished from similar concepts such as harmony, relationship, and psychological satisfaction in that it is adaptive change between heterogeneous beings, willful behavior of identity formation, and continuous and mutual encounters. School is a space of resonance that allows people to reflect on the problems of the world, forms their own values in relation to the world, and adaptively changes the world. Schools open or close the axis of resonance and form a quality of relationship. Its success or failure is the existence of resonance that approaches, inspires, and makes a voice between teachers and students and educational content. Resonant education will allow learners to approach new objects and the world facing in the future with intrinsic interest and self-efficacy.
