본 연구는 보육기관 교직원의 다문화교육에 대한 인식과 다문화교수효능감, 다문화교육실천의 구조적관계를 연구하여 보육기관 교직원들의 다문화교육실천의 향상과 관련된 기초정보를 제공하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 서울, 경기, 인천의 보육기관 교직원 404명을 대상으로 실시한 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 다문화교육에 대한 인식이 다문화교수효능감에 영향을 미칠 것이라는 연구결과는 유의하였다. 이는 다문화교육에 대한 인식이 증가할수록 다문화교수효능감이 증가한다는 것을 의미한다. 둘째, 다문화교육에 대한 인식이 다문화교육실천에 영향을 미칠 것이라는 연구결과는 유의하였다. 이는 다문화교육에 대한 인식이 증가할수록 다문화교육실천에 영향을 준다는 것을 의미한다. 셋째, 다문화교수효능감이 다문화교육실천에 영향을 미칠 것이라는 연구결과는 유의하였다. 이는 다문화교수효능감이 증가할수록 다문화교육실천에 많은 영향을 미친다는 것을 의미한다. 연구 결과를 통해 다문화교육에 대한 인식이 증가하면 다문화교수효능감이 높아지고, 다문화교수효능감이 향상되면 다문화교육실천에 영향을 미친다는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 본 연구는 보육기관 교직원들의 다문화 인식의 중요성과 실천을 강조했다는 점에서 의미를 갖는다.
This study aims to examine the structural relationship between the awareness of multicultural education, the efficacy in multicultural teaching, and the practice of multicultural education among faculty members of childcare institutions, thereby providing basic information to improve the practice of multicultural education among faculty members of childcare institutions. To this end, a survey was conducted on 404 faculty members working in childcare institutions located in Seoul, Gyeonggi and Incheon. The results of the study are as follows. First, the results of the study that the awareness of multicultural education would affect the efficacy in multicultural teaching, were significant. This means that as the awareness of multicultural education increases, the efficacy in multicultural teaching would increase. Second, the results of the study that the awareness of multicultural education would affect the practice of multicultural education, were significant. This means that as the awareness of multicultural education increases, it would increasingly affect the practice of multicultural education. Third, the results of the study that efficacy in multicultural teaching would affect the practice of multicultural education, were significant. This means that as the efficacy in multicultural teaching increases, it would affect the practice of multicultural education to a great extent. The results of the study showed that as the awareness of multicultural education increases, the efficacy in multicultural teaching increases, and that the improved efficacy in multicultural teaching affects the practice of multicultural education. This study is significant in that it emphasizes the importance and practice of multicultural awareness in faculty members of childcare institutions.
