Dr. Yonggi Cho and Dr. Jürgen Moltmann are highly honored pastor-theologians with entirely different cultural and theological backgrounds. This study examines a few of their works to draw a comparison of the Ordo of Salutis between them. Dr. Cho’s The Fivefold Gospel and Threefold Blessing, as well as Dr. Moltmann’s The Spirit of Life, will be the primary concern of this article. A careful analysis of these volumes will reveal that Dr. Cho and Dr. Moltmann propose substantially similar orders of salvation, which are based on Trinitarian and experience-oriented pneumatology. Fostering dialogue between the two theologians demonstrates that Dr. Cho’s Fivefold Gospel can be theoretically supported by Dr. Moltmann’s theological works. In contrast, Dr. Moltmann can employ various spiritual experiences that have accompanied Dr. Cho’s Pentecostal Fivefold Gospel (Full Gospel) movement in his theological contemplations. Hence, while Dr. Moltmann’s theology may provide a theoretical ground for Dr. Cho’s Pentecostal theology, Dr. Cho’s Yoido Full Gospel Church can provide Dr. Moltmann’s trinitarian pneumatological theology with vivid pieces of evidence of the Holy Spirit.
조용기 박사와 몰트만 박사는 서로 다른 신앙적 전통과 맥락 가운데, 각각 자신들의 고유한 목회와 신학을 전개하고 있는 목회자와 신학자의 대명사이다. 그런데 그들은 서로 다른 신앙적 입장과 문화적 차이에도 불구하고 매우 유사한 신앙의 여정(Ordo Salutis)을 제출하고 있다. 특히, 조용기 박사의 '오중복음과 삼중축복'과 몰트만 박사의 '생명의 영'을 비교 분석해 보면, 양자는 ‘차이’ 보다는 ‘유사함’을 드러내 준다. 이유는 이들의 방법론에 있다. 조용기 박사는 오순절적 성령론에 기초한오중복음과 삼중축복을 신학적으로 전망한다면, 몰트만 박사는 삼위일체론적 성령론으로 자신의 신학을 펼쳐내고 있기 때문이다. 이러한 기초위에서 양자는 매우 유사한 신앙의 서정(Ordo Salutis)을 제출하고 있다. 조용기 박사와 몰트만 박사의 신학을 비교함으로써 기대되는 효과는 매우 크다고 생각한다. 조용기 박사와 여의도 순복음 교회는 성령의 직접적인 역사와 증거와표적이 경험적으로 상당부분 축적되어 있다. 반면, 몰트만 박사는 그의 예리한 신학적 지성으로 성령론 연구에 관한 이론적인 방법론을 그의 저서 '생명의 영'에서 분명하게 보여 주고 있다. 그러므로 조용기 박사가 오중복음을 보다 정교하게 신학화하고 이론화 하기 위해, 몰트만 박사의 성령론적 방법론을 선용하는 것이 유익이 된다면, 몰트만 박사는 조용기 박사의 신학과 목회 속에 축적되어 있는 성령의 경험적증거들을 자신의 이론에 적용 할 때, 양자 모두는 보다 풍성한 성령론적 신학을 전개할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.
