본 연구는 그리스도교적 핵심가치인 ‘만남’을 주제로 삼는다. 오늘날세계가 당면한 코비드-19(COVID-19)의 사태는 사회와 교회에 심각한 도전이다. 더욱이 집합금지 명령의 여파는 대면예배의 제한을 가져왔다. 비대면 문화의 확산은 오늘의 상황에서 피할 수 없는 미래이다. 그러나 동시에 기독교적 전통인 대면적 만남의 중요성이 앞으로 더욱 중요해질 것이다. 왜냐하면 비대면적인 만남을 통해서는 만남이 지닌 본질적 의미가 드러나지 않기 때문이다. 반면에 교회는 하나님의 만남을 통한 사랑의 사귐, 그리고 이를 타존재와의 만남에서 실현했다. 그러나 비대면적 만남이 오히려 일상이 된 오늘날에는 만남이 지닌 전통적 의미가 퇴색했으며, 일상적 만남은 오히려 비현실적 용어처럼 되었다. 이런 상황에서 교회는 다시금 만남에 대한 가치의 재발견과 이에 대한 현재적 적용을 과제로 갖는다. 본 논문은 이와 같은 문제점을 다시금 브룬너(E. Brunner, 1889-1966) 의 주장을 통해서 재확인하고, 또한 그 의미와 교회를 위한 하나의 방향설정을 신학적으로 모색해보고자 한다. 특히 브룬너(E. Brunner, 1889- 1966)의 저서 가운데 『만남으로서의 진리』을 분석함으로써 만남의 신학적 의미와 교회론적 적용을 한다. 그리고 마지막으로는 이에 대한 간략한평가와 함께 교회론적 전망을 제시할 것이다.
This study focuses on the concept of ‘encounter’, which is a core value of Christianity. The COVID-19 situation the world is facing today is a serious challenge for society and the Church. But the spread of an untact-culture in today’s situation seems unavoidable. At the same time, however, the importance of the encounter with Christian tradition will also gain in importance in the future. The essential meaning of an encounter is not revealed through an untact-relationship. On the other hand, the Church realized the friendship of love through the encounter with God and the encounter with other beings. Today, however, the traditional meaning of encounters has faded and everyday encounters have become unrealistic terms. In this situation, too, the Church has the task of rediscovering the value of the encounter and its present application. This paper studies the theological meaning of encounter through the argument of E. Brunner (1889-1966). And it will be presented as a future direction for the church to develop. In particular, while analyzing 『Truth as Encounter』, it will be applied to the theological meaning and ecclesiological practice of encounter. Finally, this paper will present the value of the results of the study from the point of view of the ecclesiology of compassion.
