A Review of the Beginning of the Early Iron Age in Primorsky Krai

환동해문화권 북부지역인 러시아 연해주에서 초기철기시대는 얀콥스키 문화로 시작되며, 이 문화의 석검은 연대를 알 수 있는 근거로서 시베리아 청동기시대 카라숙문화 및 초기철기시대 타가르 문화의 동검을 모방했다고 이미 연구된 바 있다. 이는 지정학적인 입장에서 연해주가 유라시아초원문화와 동떨어진 곳이 아니라는 전제가 깊게 내포된 것이다. 그러나 선행연구에서는 시베리아 동검과 연해주 얀콥스키 문화의 석검 비교연구가 불분명한 점이 있어서 구체적으로 비교해서 한국 연구자들에게 좀 더 이해를 돕고자 했다. 연해주 얀콥스키 문화의 석검은 IV형식으로 구분되고 그 중에서 중앙에 능이 뚜렷하며 손잡이가 굽도록 표현된 유물(I형식, I′형식)은 기원전 13세기~9세기 경 카라숙 동검의 전형적인 모습과 유사하다. 석검 가운데 손잡이와 신부의 경계가 뚜렷하며 신부의 단면이 마름모인 유물(II형식) 은 타가르 문화의 기원전 6세기 동검과 유사하다. 연해주의 석검 가운데 III형식과 IV형식은 시베리아 동검을 모방하지 않은 것이다. 카라숙문화의 가장 늦은 형식 동검과 기원전 7세기 타가르 문화의 동검은 검날멈추개가 뚜렷하며 손잡이 끝장식이 버섯형 혹은 고리형인데, 연해주 석검과는차이가 있기 때문이다. 연해주에서 카라숙 문화의 이른시기 동검 모방품이 존재하지만 이 문화가 연해주에 실제로 영향을 미친 시점은 기원전 9세기 이후이기 때문에, 얀콥스키 문화의 연대에 그대로 대입할 수 없다. 카라숙 문화의 영향이 남아 있지만 이미 타가르 문화로 넘어간 시기인 기원전 7~6세기 일 가능성이 있다. 연해주에서는 청동기의 성분 및 그 형태로도 실제 카라숙 계통의 청동유물이 발견되기 때문에시베리아 동검을 모방한 석검이 우연히 제작되었다고 볼 수 없다. 연해주도 유라시아 초원 문화의흐름 속에서 이해되어야 하는 지역이지만, 태평양을 인접한 환동해문화권의 영역으로서 차별되는점은 감안해야 한다.

The early Iron Age of Primorsky Krai of Russia begins with Yankovskaya Culture, and it has already been studied that stone swords of this culture imitated bronze swords of Siberian Bronze Age Karasuk culture and early Iron Age Tagar culture as a basis for knowing the age. Among the stone daggers of Yankovskaya Culture in Primorsky Krai, the relics (Type I, I′ type) with a sharp ridge in the center and a curved handle are typical of the Karasuk culture bronze sword from the 13th to 9th centuries BC. The boundary between the handle and the bride is clear in the middle of the stone daggers, and the relic (Type II) with a diamond cross section is similar to the 6th century BC copper sword of the Tagar culture. Although imitations of copper swords from the early period of the Karasuk culture exist, it cannot be dated to the Yankovskaya Culture, since the time when this culture actually influenced the Primorsky Territory was after the 9th century BC. Although the influence of Karasuk culture remains, it is possible that it was already in the 7th-6th centuries BC, when it passed into the Tagar culture. Bronze relics from the Karasuk family are found in the Primordial Coast, even with the components and shapes of bronze tools, so it cannot be said that a stone sword that mimics a Siberian copper sword was accidentally made. Although the Primorsky Islands can be seen as a region in the flow of Eurasian grassland culture, it should be considered that the Pacific Ocean is differentiated as a region of the Pan-East Sea Cultural region.
