요동지역 비파형동검문화의 변동 과정에서 확인되는 상호작용의 네트워크에는 정치체의 교류 또는 권력 관계가 반영되어 있어 주목해야 할 필요성이 있다. 특히 청동 네트워크에는 엘리트층의 권력 기반으로 연결되는 기술이나 이념 등이 밀접하게 관련되어 있어 주목된다. 비파형동검문화의 형성 단계에는 요하 평원지역과 요하 상류 방면과의 청동 네트워크가 주목된다. 비파형동검문화는 요하평원 동쪽 구간에서 기원전 10세기경부터 형성되기 시작하였는데, 이는 장인집단과 엘리트층이 청동 제련기술을 바탕으로 검의 이념 체계를 수용하여 비파형동검을 만든 것이 직접적인 계기였다. 비파형동검문화의 전기 단계에는 요동지역에서 길림~남한지역으로 청동 네트워크가 확장되며, 요북 동부지역(철령)과 요동 남단지역(대련)에서 거점 유적군이 확인된다. 무기류와 공구류는 요북지역에서 남한지역까지 확산되며, 선형동부 같은 일부 공구류는 요남지역을 거쳐 산동지역까지 전해진다. 요동 남단지역에는 요서계통 유물들도 확인되고 있어 광역 네트워크가 형성되어 있었음을 알 수 있다. 비파형동검문화의 후기 단계에는 요중지역을 중심으로 청동 네트워크가 재편된다. 청동 유물들은 요동계통 위주에서 요서계통 중심으로 일변하며, 요중지역에서 주변 지역으로 확산되는 양상들이 뚜렷하게 확인된다. 특히 정가와자유형의 네트워크가 북한 방면으로 확산되는 한편 산동지역과도 동검 같은 무기류를 교류하는 것이 보이는데, 이는 고조선의 발전 과정과도 밀접하게 관련되는 양상으로 추정된다.
The interaction network identified in the process of change in Liadong Area the Mandolin-shaped Bronze Dagger Culture is notable for its reflection of polities’ exchanges or power relations. The Bronze Network deserves particular attention because it is closely related to the elite reacting, new technology, or ideologies connected to the power base. The bronze network that arose between the Liaohe Plains and the upper region of the Liaohe River during the formation of the Mandolin-shaped Bronze Dagger Culture is noteworthy. The Mandolin-shaped Bronze Dagger Culture began as the artisan group around 10 BCE in the eastern part of the Liaohe Plains, where the elite adopted the ideological system of the sword to create mandolin-shaped daggers using bronze-smelting technology. In the early the Mandolin-shaped Bronze Dagger Culture, the bronze network expanded from the Liadong area to the region between Jilin and South Korea; central sites have been identified in the eastern part of Liaobei(Tieling) and the southern tip of Liaodong(Dalian). Weapons and tools spread from the Liaobei area to South Korea. Some tools, including the fanshaped bronze axe, reached Shandong through the Liaonan area. Liaoxi-style artifacts have also been found in the southern tip of Liaodong, implying that there was a broad network at the time. In the later the Mandolin-shaped Bronze Dagger Culture, the bronze network was reorganized around the Liaozhong area. Bronze artifacts shifted from Liadong-style to Liaoxistyle, with a wide diffusion from the Liaozhong area to surrounding areas. It is noteworthy that the network of Zhengjiawazi Assemblage, which is estimated to be closely related to the development of Old Joseon, spread toward North Korea and exchanged weapons such as bronze dagger with Shandong area.
