本稿は近松の浄瑠璃を研究資料として、遊女語の使用実態を考察しており、その結果は次のようである。 第一に、「ござりんす」、「なさりんす」、「しやりんす」、「やりんす」は近松の浄瑠璃で、それぞれ22個、7個、17個、6個の遊女の用例が見られる。 第二に、「こなさん」は遊女の使用が多い2人称代名詞で、総45個の用例の中、話者が遊女である用例は37個であった。 第三に、意志推量を表す助動詞として、遊女は「ません」を使うこともある。 第四に、遊女語においては、できるだけ「ん」を保存しようとする傾向がある。その例として、「くだんす」「ごんす」が挙げられ、それぞれ13個、7個の遊女の用例が見られる。 第五に、助動詞「やんす」は総計27個の用例があり、その中、遊女の用例は26個であった。また、一つの男性の用例がみられ、過渡期的な用例であると思われる。 第六に、遊女語の特徴の一つとして、「あ」音の多用があり、その例として「ごあんす」、「こなさあ」、「さあんす」が挙げられる。
The study analyzes the characteristics of prostitute’speech in the Joruri by Chikamatsu Monzamon(1653-1725). We find, first, that these works contain 22,, 7, 17, and 6 examples of gozarinsu, nasarinsu, shiyarinsu, and yarinsu, respectively. Secondly, konasan is a second-person pronoun often used by prostitutes, and of the 45 examples, 37 used a pronoun. Third, prostitutes sometimes use masenn as an auxiliary verb to express the meaning of will or surmise. Fourth, in prostitute’speech, there is a tendency to preserve N. For instance, 13 and 7 examples of kudansu and gonsu, respectively, can be found. Fifth, there were 27 examples of the auxiliary verb Yans, of which 26 were spoken by prostitutes. There is one male example, which seems to be a transitional. Finally, one of the characteristics of the prostitute’speech is the use of the a sound in such example as goansu, konasaa, and saansu.
