[연구목적]본 연구는 사회적협동조합에 대한 이론적 검토와 경영공시 자료를 통해 사회적협동조합의 경제적 성과와 재무 현황 그리고 회계보고 실태를 검토하여 경영공시제도의 중요성과 개선방안을 제시하고자 한다. [연구방법]본 연구에서의 검토자료는 협동조합 홈페이지에 등록된 경영공시자료를 이용하였으며, 경제적 성과와 재무 현황에 대해서는 2012년부터 2021년 5월까지 9년간의 자료를 이용하였으며, 회계처리와 관련한 사업결산보고서는 2015년부터 2020년까지 6년간의 자료를 이용하였다. [연구결과]경영공시 정보는 사회적협동조합의 이해관계자들에게 유용한 정보를 제공하게 함으로써 필요자원의 확보와 확보된 자원의 효율적 배분을 통한 경제적․사회적 성과 확산에 기여해야 한다. 그러나 공시된 자료를 검토한 결과를 종합해 보면 사회적협동조합의 경영공시제도를 무의미하게 할 뿐만 아니라, 사회적협동조합 활동의 홍보와 일반인의 참여 유도 그리고 무엇보다 운영의 투명성을 확보하게 함으로써 사회적협동조합의 경쟁력 강화와 활성화를 촉진하고자 하는 경영공시제도의 목적에 반하는 결과라 하겠다. [연구의 시사점]경남지역에 한정하여 파악되었기 때문에 사회적협동조합 전체를 판단하기에는 한계가 있지만, 사회적협동조합의 환경적 특성을 고려한다면 크게 다르지 않으리라고 생각한다. 향후에도 사회적협동조합의 조직적 특성을 이해하고 지속가능성이 확보될 수 있는 다양한 방안들이 보다 심도 있게 연구되기를 기대한다.
[Purpose]This study aims to suggest the importance of the management disclosure system and ways to improve it by examining the economic performance, financial status, and accounting reporting of social cooperatives through a theoretical review of social cooperatives and management disclosure data. [Methodology]For the review data in this study, management disclosure data registered on the cooperative website was used, and for economic performance and financial status, data for 9 years from 2012 to May 2021 were used. used data for 6 years from 2015 to 2020. [Findings]Management disclosure information should contribute to the spread of economic and social performance through securing necessary resources and efficient distribution of the secured resources by providing useful information to the stakeholders of the social cooperative. However, if we take a look at the results of reviewing the published data, it not only makes the management disclosure system of social cooperatives meaningless, but also promotes social cooperative activities, induces public participation, and above all, secures transparency in operation of social cooperatives. This is a result contrary to the purpose of the management disclosure system to promote the strengthening and vitalization of the competitiveness of the company. [Implications]There is a limit to judging the entire social cooperative because it was identified only in the Gyeongnam region, but considering the environmental characteristics of the social cooperative, it is thought that it will not be much different. In the future, it is expected that various methods to understand the organizational characteristics of social cooperatives and to secure sustainability will be studied in more depth.
