마가복음 7:9는 동사 στήσητε(세우다)로 마친다. 그런데 그 구절은 GNT5 의 마가복음 중에서 유일하게 본문비평 등급이 {D}이다. 이 구절에서 한글성경 및 외국어 성경들의 번역도 갈라진다. 한글 개역개정 등은 ‘지키려고’로 번역한다(공동번역, 성경개역[1933], 천주교성경[2005], Tyndale House 가 출간한 그리스어 신약성경[2017], 현대 그리스어 성경[1996], NIV, KJV, REB, EU, BJ, TOB). 그러나 바른성경 등은 ‘세우기 위하여’를 지지한다(ESV, 아프리칸스성경[1983]). 그런데 마가복음 7:9는 본문비평 상 의견이여전히 분분하지만, 마가복음 주석가들의 별다른 주목을 끌지 못해왔다. 이 글은 마가복음 7:9의 소위 ‘원본’을 찾아 해석하기 위해서, 둘째 이문(τηρήσητε)과 유사한 셋째 이문인 τηρῆτε를 포함하여 세 가지 이문을 외증과 내증을 통해 각각 분석할 것이다. 그 다음 마가복음 7:9의 의미를 마가복음의 기록 목적과 주요 신학에 비추어 살펴서, 소위 ‘원본’에 일치하는표현이 무엇인지 추적한다. 마지막으로, 성경의 관련본문들을 통하여 마가복음 7:9의 의미를 검토하여 원본에 일치하는 표현을 찾는다.
Mark 7:9 ends with the verb στήσητε (to build up). However, that verse is the only one in the Gospel of Mark in GNT5 whose degree of textual criticism is {D}. Here, the translations of the Korean Bibles and foreign versions are also divided. New Korean Revised Version translates Mark 7:9 as ‘to keep’ (Korean Common Translation, Korean Revised Version [1933], Korean Catholic Bible [2005], Greek New Testament [2017] published by Tyndale House, Modern Greek Bible [1996], NIV, KJV, REB, EU, BJ, TOB). However, Korean Truthful Version and others support ‘to build’ (ESV, Afrikaans Bible [1983]). Although the opinions of Mark 7:9 are still divided in textual criticism, it has not attracted much attention from Mark commentators. In order to find and interpret the original text of Mark 7:9, this article analyzes three variants, through external and internal evidences. Next, the present researcher scrutinizes the meaning of Mark 7:9 in light of Mark’s written purpose and its major theology, and traces what expression corresponds to the original. Finally, the intertextual analysis examines the meaning of Mark 7:9 and pursue for expression that matches the original text.
