본 논문은 도덕교육에 있어서 ‘사고와 표현’의 함의와 그 중요성에 대해 초점을 맞추었다. 도덕교육의 궁극적 목적은 ‘좋은 삶’을 유지할 수 있도록 하는 인성을 추구하는 것이다. ‘도덕과 교육’을 중재하는 작업은 주로 언어, 즉 ‘말하기와 쓰기’를 통해 이루어진다. 이러한 맥락에서, ‘사고와 표현’은 도덕교육에 있어서 불가분의 관계에 있다. 왜냐하면 말과 글은 그 사람의 인성 또는 도덕성을 알 수 있는 중요한 척도가 되기 때문이다. 이제는 사람이 새로운 시대정신을 요구하는 교육의 패러다임에 중심이 되어야 한다. 이러한 대안과 관련해서, 논자는 사랑의 윤리적 담론에 대해 숙고할 것을 제안한다. 특히, 창조의 차원에서 ‘사고와 표현’을 한다는 것은 기존의 고정관념으로부터 벗어나 생각하기, 글쓰기, 그리고 말하기의 새로운 영역에로 넘어가는 것이다. 이러한 탈영토성은 새로운 의미의 생성과 가치의 창조를 위해 기존의 관습, 그리고 의미와 가치로부터 벗어난다는 것을 의미한다. 따라서 ‘말의 힘’을 통해 인성과 지혜를 갖춘 시민교육과 더불어 공동체 사회가 되는 것을 목표로 하는 에토스의 수사학이 강조될 필요성이 있다.
This paper focuses on the study about the implications and its importance of ‘Thought and Expression’ in moral education. The ultimate goal in moral education is to pursue the upright personality which can maintain a ‘good life’. The work which arbitrates ‘Morality and Education’ is accomplished by language, namely speaking and writing. In this context, ‘Thought’ and ‘Expression’ are inextricably linked in moral education. The rationale behind this is that words and writing are significant measures to know a person’s personality or morality. From now on, people should be central to the paradigm of education which requires a new zeitgeist. In relation to this alternative, the writer proposes to consider the ethical disclosure of love. In particular, ‘Thinking and Expressing’ in terms of creation is a shift away from conventional stereotypes to new areas of thinking, writing and speaking. This deterritorialization means that it deviates from existing customs, meanings and values for the creation of new meaning and values. Therefore, it is necessary to emphasize rhetoric of Ethos, which aims to become a community society, along with civic education with upright character and wisdom through ‘the Power of Words’.
