인공지능 활용 교육의 중요성이 증대됨에 따라 초등 사회과 지리 영역을 보다 효과적으로 재구성할수 있도록 인공지능 원리와 활용에 초점을 맞추어 연구를 진행하였다. 기존 초등 사회과 지리 영역은 지리 영역과 타 영역의 분절, 지역화 교과서의 적극적인 지역화 부족, 코로나19로 인한 교외 활동 제약과 장소감 형성의 어려움, 지역 사회 구성원으로서의 참여 활동 부족 등의 한계를 가지고 있다. 이를 해결하기 위하여 지리와 역사의 만남인 역사경관의 개념을 활용하여 과거의 한성백제의 역사가 현재 송파·강동 교육지원청 관내 경관으로 어떻게 나타나고 있는지를 이해하였다. 더불어 유네스코 세계문화유산 등재와 연계하여 학생들이 지역 사회에서 자신이 무엇을 실천할 수 있는지를 확인하고, 초등 사회과 지리 영역의 내용을 통하여 자신의 삶의 장소를 세계적인 가치와 연계해 나갈 수 있도록 구성하였다. 인공지능, 인공지능 교육, 인공지능 활용 교육에 대한 정의를 내리고, 초등 인공지능 교육 내용 기준에 따라 초등 사회과 지리 영역에서의 인공지능 활용 교육의 구체적 방법을 제시하였다. 첫 번째는 역사경관 학습을 인공지능 활용 교육을 통해 진행하는 방법이다. 이는 학생들에게 물리적, 시간적 제약이 따르는 경관 수업의 실감화에 도움을 주고자 하기 위함이다. VR을 통해 학생들에게 역사경관을 실제와 가장 유사하게 체험하도록 하였으며, 역사경관을 티쳐블 머신을 통하여 분류하는 활동으로 학생 스스로가 생각하는 각 문화유산들의 역사경관의 상을 서로 비교해 볼 수 있는 시간을 가질 수있게 하였다. 두 번째는 문화유산으로서의 한성백제를 인공지능 활용 교육을 통해 알아가는 과정이다. 학생들에게 의사결정트리를 활용하여 문화유산으로서의 한성백제의 가치를 확인하도록 하였고, 이를 통해 학생들이 지역 문화유산에 대한 장소감을 형성할 수 있도록 도모하였다. 또한 워드클라우드 생성기를 통해 한성백제에 대한 서로의 생각과 더불어 지역 사회의 구성원으로서 지역 문화유산의 지속가능한 발전을 위해 어떠한 실천을 해야하는지 공유할 수 있는 기회를 가지도록 구성하였다.
As the importance of AI utilization education has increased, research has been conducted focusing on AI principles and utilization to help more effectively reconstruct geographical areas of elementary social studies. Existing geographical areas of elementary social studies have limitations such as the division of geography and other areas, the lack of active localization of localizable textbook, the difficulty of outside the school activities due to Covid-19, difficulty to develop sense of place and the lack of participation as community members. To solve this problem, the concept of a historical landscape, a meeting of geography and history, was used to understand how the history of Seoul Baekje is currently represented as a historical landscape within Songpa and Gangdong district office of education. In addition, in conjunction with the UNESCO World Heritage List, students can identify what they can practice in the community and link their place of life to global values through the contents of geographical areas of elementary social studies. To define AI, AI education, AI utilization education, and present specific methods of AI education in geographical areas of elementary social studies according to the content criteria of elementary AI education. The first is a way to conduct historical landscape learning through AI utilization education. It is to help students realize the physical and time-constrained landscape classes. The second is to learn about Seoul Baekje as a cultural heritage through AI utilization education. Students were asked to identify the value of Seoul Baekje as a cultural heritage by using a Decision Tree, which encouraged students to form a sense of place for local cultural heritage. In addition, Word Cloud generators are designed to share each other's thoughts on Seoul Baekje as well as the opportunity to share what actions should be taken for the sustainable development of local cultural heritage as members of the community.
