본 연구는 학습자와 교수자가 펜데믹이란 감염병 대유행으로 인해 기독교 대학에서 친밀한 관계를 상실한 교실과, 가상공간 너머로 내몰린 교회음악 교육의 현실을 어떻게 극복할 것인가? 라는 문제 제기에서 시작하였다. 오늘 날 기독교 대학뿐만이 아니라 교회는 역사적으로 가장 우선시 해 온 예배의 기능을 상실한 상태이다. 학습자는 학교에 가지 않고도 교육을 받고, 신자들 은 교회에 가지 않고 예배하며 기독교 교육과 신앙의 기준을 재해석하고 재 설정해야 하는 답이 없는 과제를 떠안은 채 표류하고 있다. 현실 세계의 문제를 상상으로 투영해 내고 현실을 대신할 이상적인 세상을 묘사하고 있다는 철학적 개념으로 등장한 유토피아(utopia)는 모두가 원하지 만 실제로 존재하지 않는 세상을 의미한다. 그리고 디스토피아(dystopia)는 모두가 원하지 않지만 실제로 존재하는 세상을 뜻한다. 어쩌면 지금의 우리 현실은이두세상이공존하는한가운데있다고할수있다. ‘넥스트노멀 (next normal)’, 급변하게 될 세계 대유행 사태 이후의 변화에 대해 적극적으 로 대처하고 해결하려는 능동적인 의지를 담고 있는 신조어다. 즉 ‘뉴 노멀 (new normal)’이란 현실에서 비롯된 현상에 순응하는 수동적 교육의 자리에서 벗어나 디지털과 온라인에 대해 더 적극적으로 대처하는 방안을 모색하 여 사회적 격리에 대비한 전략을 세우고 ‘포스트 코로나’시대를 응대할 준비 가 되어야 할 때이다. 현재 대학교육을 받는 Z세대를 넘어 디지털과 글로벌 네트워크로 중무장한 ‘알파 세대’를 향한 교육 현장, 특별히 기독교 정신을 바탕으로 설립된 대학 에서 교회음악 교육을 통해 복음의 본질인 예수 그리스도와 역사 깊은 기독 교 정신과 신앙을 어떻게 전수할 수 있는가? 라는 질문에 대하여 현실적으 로 가능한 대안들을 찾고자 한다. 비대면 상황에서 원격수업이란 가상공간 에서의 대학교육 현실을 분석하고 문제점들을 찾아 이를 개선할 수 있는 다 양한 방안들과 대안을 모색하는데 본 연구의 목표를 둔다. 필자는 본 연구를 통해 기독교 교육에서 앎과 삶, 신앙과 생활을 융합시킬 수 있는 교육상을 마련하고 이를 위한 교육과정을 개발해야 한다는 제안과 바램을 담아보고자 한다. 작금의 대유행은 언젠가 종식될 것이다. 그러나 우리는 지울 수 없는 흉터를 안고 ‘포스트 코로나’ 시대를 살아가기 위한 새로운 개념의 삶의 영 역을 개척하고 적응해야 할 것이다. 따라서 앞으로의 교회음악 교육은 그리 스도를 바탕으로 한 복음의 본질 위에 더욱더 확실한 기독교적 정체성을 세 우고 하나님으로부터, 하나님을 향한, 회중의 삶의 여정을 진정성 있게 담아 낸 교육적 가치와 유산을 지닌 기독교 음악교육으로 인식을 전환해야 한다.

How will this study overcome the reality of church music education in virtual spaces rather than classrooms in which the close relationship between learners and instructors in Christian universities is lost due to the epidemic of infectious diseases? It started by raising the issue. Today, Christian col- leges and churches have lost the role of worship, which had been a top priority throughout history. Students are educated without going to school, and believers worship without going to church. They are adrift with the unanswered task of reinterpreting and resetting the standards of Christian education and faith. The ‘utopia,’ which emerged as a philosophical concept that projects the real world’s problems through imagination and depicts an ideal world to replace reality, means a world that everyone wants but does not exist. And ‘dystopia’ implies a world that not everyone wants but exists. Perhaps our present reality is in the middle of the coexistence of these two worlds. ‘Next normal’ is a new word that conveys an active will to actively cope with and resolve the changes after the global pandemic that will change rapidly. In other words, it deviates from passive education that conforms to the reality of ‘new normal’ and seeks a way to respond more actively to digital and online, devising a strategy for social isolation and responding to the era of ‘post- corona.’ It is time to be ready to do it. How can we convey the essence of the Gospel, Jesus Christ, and the Christian spirit and faith with a long history, through church music educa- tion to Gen Z in college and the “Alpha generation” raised through digital and global networks? I want to find possible realistic alternatives to the question. This study aims to analyze educational reality in virtual spaces such as small classes in non-face-to-face situations, find problems, and seek various ways and alternatives to improve them. Through this study, I would like to present a suggestion and wish that a framework for education can integrate knowledge and life, faith, and life in Christian education and de- velop a curriculum for it. The current pandemic will end someday. However, to live in the era of “post corona” with an indelible scar, we will have to pioneer and adapt to a new conceptual life area.
