The purpose of this literature review was to analyze research studies regarding Fundamental Motor Skills (FMS) of children with ASD. Keyword searches were used to identify articles from electronic databases between 1990 and 2019. A total of 13 articles met all inclusion criteria and were analyzed based on the purpose of the study, research topics, participants, and research methods. The findings of 13 selected studies were divided into three categories, which were (a) FMS of children with ASD, (b) the skills correlated with FMS of children with ASD, and (c) the interventions to enhance FMS of children with ASD. In summary, children with ASD are considerably delayed in FMS compared to their typically functioning peers. In addition, the lack of FMS limits the class participation of children with ASD in Physical Education (PE) classes. Therefore, the Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) models with respect to FMS of children with ASD should be recommended to practical settings. Additionally, more empirically-sound product research should continually be explored.
이 선행연구 검토의 목적은 자폐성 장애 아동의 운동기능에 관한 연구 논문들을 분석하는 것이다. 본 연구를 위해 EBS Cohost와 SAGE Journals Online 을 이용하여 논문이 검색하였다. 주제어 및 논문 제목 그리고 초록을 통하여 1차 논문 검색을 하였고 연구 목적, 참가자, 그리고 연구 방법을 통하여 2차 검색을 한 결과 총 13편의 논문이 선정되었다. 선정된 13개의 논문은 논문 분석을 통하여 3개의 영역으로 분류되었다. 3개의 영역은(a) 자폐성 장애 아동의 운동기능, (b) 자폐성 장애 아동의 운동기능과 다른 영역의 상관관계 그리고 (c) 자폐성 장애 아동의 운동 기능 향상을 위한 프로그램으로 나뉘었다. 논문의분석 결과 자폐성 장애 아동은 비장애 아동보다 운동능력이 떨어지고 있으며 그로 인해다른 체육활동에 많은 제약을 받고 있었다. 하지만 자폐성 장애 아동의 운동능력 향상을위한 현실적인 운동 프로그램에 관한 논문 결과들이 있었다. 따라서 현장에 있는 교사들은자폐성 장애 아동의 실제적인 운동기능의 재검토와 그에 따른 효과적인 운동 프로그램의적용이 요구된다. 그리고 자폐성 장애 아동의 행동학적 특성을 고려한 효과적인 교수법에관한 연구가 필요하다
