본 연구는 러시아 철학에서 매우 독특한 사상이었던 러시아 우주론과 그 창시자 니콜라이 표도로프의 사상을 살펴보고, 그 사상의 도전적 함의와 현재적 의미를 도출하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 표도로프 우주론의 주요 사상인 만민부활, 자연의 통제, 우주로의 진출, 형제애를 표도로프의 저서를 통해 분석하였다. 표도로프에게 만민부활은 선조들에 대한 부채의식과 기독교 도덕의 완성이라는 의미를 가진다. 자연의 통제는 자연력을 조정하여 인간에게 복종시키는 것이다. 그리고 부활을 통해 불멸을 얻은 인류는 시공간을 넘어 우주로 나가야 한다. 이와 같은 인류의 거대한 ‘공통과제’를 위해서는 인류가 하나로 단결하여야만 한다. 형제애는 이를 위해 필수적이다. 이와 같은 표도로프 사상 고찰의 결과 그의 사상은 포스트휴먼 담론의 핵심인 신체불멸의 가능성을 내포하고 있으며, 형제애에 의한 세계 통합의 추구는 현 시기의 대안적 담론으로서 현재성을 충분히 가지고 있다는 것을 알 수 있게 되었다.
The purpose of this study is to examine the ideas of Russian cosmism and its founder Nikolai Fyodorov, which were very unique ideas in Russian philosophy, and to derive the challenging implications and present meanings of the ideas. To this end, the main ideas of Fyodorov's cosmism, the Resurrection of Mankind, the control of nature, the advance into space, and the brotherhood were analyzed through Fyodorov’s book. For Fyodorov, the Resurrection of Mankind means a sense of debt to the ancestors and the completion of Christian morality. Control of nature is the adjustment of natural forces to submit to humans. And humans who have gained immortality through resurrection must go beyond space and time into space. For such a great “common task” for mankind, mankind must unite as one. Brotherhood is essential for this. The results of this review of Fyodorov’s thoughts show that his thoughts imply the possibility of immortality, which is the core of posthuman discourse, and that the pursuit of world unity through fraternity has sufficient presentness as an alternative discourse of the present time.
