본 연구는 치매안심센터 사업영역별 작업치료사의 업무 수행도를 파악하고 작업치료학과 대학생의 업무 인식도를 조사하여 그 차이를 알아보고자 하였다. 2020년 3월부터 7월까지 호남지역의 작업치료사와 전공 학생들을 대상으로 사업영벽별 업무 수행도 및 인식도에 대해 설문조사를 실시하였다. 연구결과 작업치료사의 치매안심센터 사업영역별 업무수행도가 가장 높은 범주는 치매예방관리이었고, 전공 대학생의 업무인식도가 가장 높은 범주는 치매진단검진이었다. 작업치료사의 업무수행도와 작업치료 전공 학생들의 업무인식도를 비교하였을 때, ‘상담, 등록 및 분류’, ‘치매인식개선 및 교육･홍보’, ‘치매진단검사’, ‘지역사회 역량강화 및 행정업무’에서 유의한 차이를 보였다. 국가치매사업에서 작업치료사의 역할을 확고히 하기 위해서는 치매안심센터 작업치료사를 위한 심화된 보수교육이 필요하고 전공 대학생들에게는 국가치매사업에 관한 홍보 및 교육이 더욱 활발히 이루어져야 할 것으로 본다.
This study examined and compared the job performance of occupational therapists and the job perception among college students in the Department of Occupational Therapy by each business area of the Dementia Support Center. During the period from March to July 2020, a survey on the job performance and perception was conducted using occupational therapists and college students in Honam region, South Korea. In the study result, “dementia prevention management” was the category with highest job performance level by each business area among the occupational therapists working in the Dementia Support Center. “Dementia diagnosis and screening” showed the highest job perception among the college students majoring in occupational therapy. In a comparison of the occupational therapists’ job performance and college students’ job perception, a significant difference was observed in “counseling, registration, and classification”, “improvement of dementia awareness and education/promotion”, “dementia diagnostic test”, and “reinforcement of capability and administrative affairs in local community.” To strengthen the role of occupational therapists in the National Dementia Plan, advanced continuing education for occupational therapists working in the Dementia Support Center is required. For the college students majoring in the occupational therapy, promotion of the National Dementia Plan and relevant training should be more actively implemented.
