본 연구는 전상국의 소설 「아베의 가족」,「고려장」,「여름의 껍질」,「투석」을 통하여작가의 사회의식과 분단의 문제를 고찰하였다. 6·25의 상처는 성적 난행이나 물리적인 폭력으로 나타나며, 피해자 한 사람에게만 국한되지 않고 주변 인물과 이웃, 사회 전반에 영향을미치고, 자손에게까지 파급된다. 이러한 분단 문제는 ‘민족사’의 비극이며 민족 전체가 극복해야 하는 문제로 나타난다. 분단극복의 방안으로 화해와 반성의 방식을 제시하고 전쟁의상처로 인한 아픔은 우리 모두가 반성하고, 이해하고 화해함으로써 극복할 수 있음을 제시하였다.
This study examined writer’s social consciousness and problem of division via 「Ahbe’s family」,「Goryeojang,」,「the skin of summer」, and「stone-throwin g」written by Jeon Sang-guk. In the novels, scars of Korean war was presented as sexual rape and physical violence. They affected man of victim, people around, neighbor, and whole society, and brought ripple effect to descendant. The problem of division was the tragedy of national history and was presented to be overcome. The novels suggested that sorrow by scars of Korean war would be overcome by our self-reflection, understanding, and reconciliation.
