[연구목적] 기술이 발전하고 환경이 급변함에 따라 기업의 이해관계자들에게 제공되고 있는 정보의 종류도 급격하게 증가하고 있다. 정성적 데이터는 전체 데이터의80% 이상을 차지하고 있으며, 가장 대표적인 정성적 데이터는 텍스트라고 할 수있다. 본 연구는 텍스트 데이터를 활용한 회계학 연구현황을 점검하고, 이해관계자들이 요구하는 다양한 정보를 제공하기 위한 향후 과제를 제안한다. [연구방법] 선행연구를 통하여 국내외 회계학 및 다른 분야의 텍스트 분석 연구현황을 검토한다. 또한 국내 텍스트 데이터 분석 환경을 점검하고, 이를 바탕으로 향후 회계학 텍스트 연구의 발전을 위한 방안을 제시한다. [연구결과] 정보이용자들이 보다 쉽고 빠르게 기업의 정보를 활용하기 위하여“Open DART” 서비스 개방 범위 확대 및 접속 제한 해제 등 정책적 개선이 필요하다. 또한 다른 분야와의 공동연구, 사업보고서 이외의 다양한 자료 활용 등을 통하여 보다 유용한 정보를 제공하기 위한 노력이 요구된다. [연구의 시사점] 현시점에서 텍스트 분석을 활용한 회계학 연구현황을 점검함으로써, 텍스트 연구 활성화를 위한 개선 방안을 제시한다. 이를 통하여 향후 텍스트 데이터를 활용한 연구가 활발하게 진행되어 정보이용자에게 보다 유용한 정보의 제공을 기대한다.
[Purpose] As technology advances and the environment changes rapidly, business stakeholders are receiving abruptly more types of information. This study evaluated the status of accounting studies, which utilized text data, the most representative form of unstructured data, while unstructured data accounted for more than 80% of the total data. This study also proposed future research topics to provide diverse information demanded by stakeholders. [Methodology] This study reviewed previous text analysis studies in accounting and other fields to examine the status of text analysis in South Korea and other countries. Moreover, this study evaluated the domestic environment for text data analysis and suggested plans for the development of accounting text research based on this in the future. [Findings] There is a need for policy improvement such as expanding the range of the “Open DART” service availability and lifting access restrictions in order for information users to use corporate information more easily and quickly. Additionally, efforts must be given to provide and utilize more diverse and useful information through joint research with other fields and analyzing various data other than business reports. [Implications] By evaluating the current status of accounting research based on text analysis at the moment, it presents future research tasks and improvement plans. It is expected that the importance and necessity of studies using text data will be presented and more useful information will be provided by utilizing diverse research methodologies through this.
