인간의 기능적 관점에 주목한 E. Kipard의 초기 심리운동은 인간의 수행능력에 중심을 둔 F. Schilling에 의하여 인간의 행동능력을 확장시키는 것을 목표로 진단과 교육으로 그 영역이확대발전 되었다. 이후 J. Seewald는 선행 이론들이 운동과 신체성의 기능적 구조적 측면에만집중하여 개인적 존재로서 개인의 고유성이 간과되는 점에 주목하면서 인간은 분석의 대상이아니라 이해의 대상이라고 하는 이해적 관점을 주장한다. Seewald의 이해이론은 해석학, 현상학, 심층해석학 그리고 변증법을 주요 배경으로 하고 있으며, 관련이론으로 신체심리학과 상징이론이 있다. 여기서의 상징이론은 신칸트주의적 관점에서 상징을 연구한 E. Cassirer와Cassirer의 영향을 받아 예술을 통한 연구로 상징 이해의 범위를 확대 발전시킨 S. Langer를중심으로 한다. 이후 1980년 인지언어학에서 나온 체험주의 관점의 영상도식은 언어의 신체성과 패턴을 도식화 했는데, 이는 신체성을 토대로 한 심리운동의 현상학적 관점과 상징의 이해와 같은 맥락이라고 할 수 있다. 영상도식은 특히 심리운동의 기본 개념인 신체경험, 물질경험, 사회경험과 같은 개념을 포함하고 있으며, Seewald의 이해적 관점을 설명하는 상징이론을 지지할 수 있다. 심리운동의 핵심 개념들은 이렇게 다양한 이론들로써 설명될 수 있으며인간의 이해에 한층 더 다가가고 있다.
The early Motologie of E. Kipard, which paid attention to the functional perspective of human beings, led to F. Schilling, which centered on human performance, expanded and developed the area of Motologie through diagnosis and education, and aimed to expand human ability. Later, J. Seewald argues for an a mode of understanding that humans are not subject to analysis but to understand, noting that prior theories focus only on the functional structural aspects of exercise and physicality and overlook the individual's uniqueness as a personal being. Seewald's perspective of understanding is mainly based on hermeneutics, phenomenology, analytical psychology and dialectics, and related theory is somatic psychology and symbolic theory. The symbolic theory here centers on E. Cassirer, who studied symbols from a neo-Kantianism point of view, and S. Langer, who, under the influence of Cassier, expanded and developed the scope of symbolic understanding through art. In 1980, the image schemas of cognitive linguistics with the experimentalist perspective have schematized the physicality and pattern of language, which can be said to be in the same context as the phenomenological perspective and understanding of symbols of Motologie. Image schema resonates concepts such as physical experience, material experience, and social experience, which are at the core of Motologie. and can support the symbolism theories that explain Seewald's perspective of understanding. The core concepts of the Motologie can be explained by various theories of other academic areas and are getting closer to whole human understanding.
