본 연구는 그림책을 활용한 장애인식 개선 교육 활동이 유아의 장애 인식 및 친사회적 행동에 미치는 효과를 알아보는 데 목적이 있었다. 이를 위해 그림책을 활용한 유아용 장애인식 개선 교육 프로그램을 개발하였다. 연구대상은 G도에 위치한 장애유아 통합 어린이집 만 5세 유아 69명으로 실험집단은 39명, 비교집단은 30명이다. 실험집단 유아들은 8주 동안 그림책을 활용한 장애인식 개선 교육 활동에 참여하였고 비교집단 유아들은 같은 기간 동안 실험집단과 동일한 그림책을 들려주고 기존의 활동을 하였다. 연구도구는 유아 장애 인식 검사 도구, 유아 친사회적 행동평가척도(PBSYC)를 사용하였으며, SPSS 21.0 프로그램을 이용하여 공변량분석을 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 그림책을 활용한 장애인식 개선 교육을 실시한 실험집단의 장애 인식과 친사회적행동이 유의하게 향상되었다. 이는 그림책을 활용한 장애인식 개선 교육활동이 유아의 장애 인식, 친사회적 행동을 높이는 데 도움이 될 수 있음을 의미한다.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of activities using picture books on disability awareness and pro-social behavior. To this end, a children's disability awareness improvement education program using picture books was developed. Subjects were 69 five year olds, divided into 39 in the experimental group and 30 in the control group, from inclusive child-care center for children with disabilities in G province. The experimental group participated in disability awareness improvement education program using picture books for 8 weeks, while the control group used the same picture books and participated in previous activities. The research tools used were the disability awareness test for young children and the prosocial behavior scale for young children(PBSYC) with SPSS 21.0 being used to conduct analysis of covariance (ANCOVA). The results showed that the overall disability awareness and pro-social behavior from the experimental group had significantly improved. The results of this study have shown that disability awareness improvement education program using picture books can help improving young children’s disability awareness and pro-social behavior.
