본 연구에서는 많은 수의 사범대학 학생들이 비교직 분야의 진로를 고려하는 현상에 대한 원인을 분석하고, 그에 대한 시사점을 도출하고자 하였다. 이에 본 연구에서는 사범대학 과학교육과 학생들의 진학 및 진로 계획을 양적으로 조사함과 동시에 ‘비교직 분야로의 진로 희망’이라는 현상에 집중하여 그 안에 내포된 본질적인 의미에 대한 실증적인 탐구를 도모하고자 연구 대상 학생들의 진학 및 진로 계획을 조사함과 동시에 설문에 참여한 학생들 중 일부 학생들을 대상으로 질적 사례연구를 실시하는 혼합 연구방법을 이용하였다. 연구 결과, 학생들은 대학교 입학 당시에는 교사가 되고자 하는 생각이 어느 정도 있었으나, 사범대학에 재학하면서 교사에 대한 생각이 사라진 것으로 보였다. 이러한 결과에는 교원 양성과정이 학생들에게 실제 학교 현장에 대한 감각을 길러주지 못함과 동시에, 현직 교사의 낮은 처우에 대한 부정적인 인식이 원인으로 작용한 것으로 보였다. 이러한 상황에서 취업에 대한 어려움과 대학원 졸업자에 대한 높은 사회적 대우라는 두 가지 요인에 따라 많은 학생들이 비교직 분야의 진로를 희망하게 된 것으로 분석되었다. 연구 결과에 따라 교육과정을 포함한 사범대학의 전반적인 교원 양성과정을 개선하여 사범대학의 정체성을 확고히 다짐과 동시에 교육 목적의 다양화를 추구해야 할 것, 현직 교사에 대한 처우를 개선하여 교사들의 직업 만족도를 높임과 동시에 교사 직업에 대한 인식을 제고해야 할 것, 학생들로 하여금 다양한 분야로의 진학·진로가 이루어질 수 있도록 지원해야 할 것을 이야기하였다.
In this study, we tried to analyze the causes of the phenomenon in which a large number of students of the college of education consider the career path of the field of comparative work, and to derive their implications. Therefore, in order to quantitatively investigate the entrance and career plans of students in the department of science education at the college of education of Hankuk university and to focus on the phenomenon of 'hope of career in the field of non-disciplinary work' and to provide empirical research on the essential meaning of the plan, the research method was used to conduct qualitative case studies on some of the students who participated in the survey. According to the study, students had some idea of becoming teachers when they entered college, but they had no idea of teachers when they were attending the college of education. The results showed that the training process failed to develop students' sense of the actual school site, while at the same time negative perception of the current teacher's low treatment. Under these circumstances, two factors –difficulty in finding a job and high social treatment for graduate graduates– have led many students to hope for a career in the field of comparative jobs, according to the analysis. According to the results of the study, we talked about improving the overall teacher training process of the education college, including the curriculum, making a firm commitment to the identity of the education college, improving the treatment of current teachers to enhance teachers' job satisfaction and raise awareness of teachers' jobs at the same time, and helping students enter and move into various fields.
