김정은 시대에 등장한 구호 중 인민들의 교양 및 교육과 관련한 당정책구호들을 예술교육계에서 받아들이고 교과서에 적용시킨 양상과, 북한의개정교과서 가운데 중학교 과정의 음악 교과서에 실린 민족음악 교육에대해 고찰하였다. 2012년 이후 김정은 시대의 혁신 정책과 구호는 교육정책과 예술 영역에도 적용되었다. 특히 사회주의문명국과 김정일애국주의, 4대교양과 교육강국, 그리고 사회주의적 경쟁은 2019년에 제시된 우리 국가제일주의로귀결되어 추진되고 있음을 확인하였다. 다음으로 김정은 시대에 개정된 중학교 음악 교과서의 당정책 적용 양상과 민족음악 교육의 내용을 살펴보았다. 그 결과 김정은 시대에는 세계화나 세계적 수준보다는 국가적 위상의 확립과 애국주의가 강조되었으며, 음악 교과의 내용에서도 국외의 음악적 내용보다는 국내 음악을 강조하면서 과거의 민요가 아닌 새롭게 창작된 민요풍의 노래로 민족적 전통을세우려 하고 있음을 확인하였다.
This article examines aspects of the Korean Workers’ Party’s policy slogans in the Kim Jong Un era related to arts and education of the people and the application of the slogans in textbooks, as well as the contents of the national music education in the middle school curriculum among the revised textbooks in North Korea. Since 2012, Kim Jong Un’s innovative policies and slogans have been applied to education policies and the arts. In particular, socialist civilization, Kim Jong Il’s patriotism, cultural and education power, and socialist competition resulted in and promoted ‘our state first’ principles presented in 2019. Following this, the study examines the application of party policy in middle school music textbooks revised during the Kim Jong Un era and the contents of national music education. Findings suggest that, in the Kim Jong Un era, the establishment of national status and patriotism rather than globalization or being world-class are being emphasized. Also, music contents emphasize domestic music rather than foreign musical content, and Kim is trying to establish a national tradition not on folks songs of the past but on newly created folk songs.
