Under the premise that the most important aspiration in homiletics is the correspondence between the letter and the Spirit, this paper discusses problems related to God’s name that arise from the perspective of R. Bohren’s name- theological homiletics and seeks a solution. Therefore, this paper tries to limit only the characteristic problems raised in his homiletics. That is, ① God’s name as a judgment court, ② the revelation and teaching methods of God’s name, ③ God’s name: the impossibility and necessity of translation, and ④ the orality of God’s name:’the preaching as God’s name speech.’ Hence, by re-evaluating the value of the name-theological homiletics, it seeks to open a way for the reconstruction of Christian theology and church renewal.
