이 논문은 2세기 리용의 감독이자 교부신학자인 이레니우스의 구원론적 은총의 창조신학을 연구한 글이다. 전 우주적 차원으로 발생하고 있는 생태적 문제에 대해 책임적인 신학적 대안으로 창조신학을 선택한이유는, 창조신학이 그 특성상 하나님과 세계의 관계에 대한 우주론적틀에서 모든 존재들의 관계를 포괄적이고 심층적으로 다루는 우주관을 제공하기 때문이다. 특별히 이레니우스의 창조신학은 그 특성이 창조세계의 전 영역을 삼위일체 하나님께서 계속적으로 창조 활동을 하는 창조의 영역이자 은총으로 구원 경륜을 이루어가는 구원의 장으로이해하기 때문이다. 이레니우스는 당시 영육의 이원론으로 기독교 복음의 진리를 위협하던 이단 영지주의의 도전에 대해 창조세계의 선함을 주장하며 성육신과 성만찬을 통한 구원론적이며 동시에 성례전적은총의 세계이해를 가진 창조신학을 정립하는 데 공헌을 했다. 더 나아가 이레니우스는 창조세계가 삼위일체 하나님의 계속적인 창조와 구원경륜을 통해 종말론적인 완전을 향해 변화하고 성장하고 성숙하게되어 마침내 새로운 창조로 완성된다고 주장한다. 따라서 이레니우스의 구원론적 은총의 창조신학은 극단적 자본주의 세계에서 살아가는현대인들에게 성숙한 세계에 대한 이해와 생명을 존중하고 고귀한 가치를 인정하는 인식의 전환을 가져오며 그리고 일상의 삶과 실천에 긍정적인 변화를 가져 올 수 있으리라 생각한다.
This is a thesis that delved into the creation theology of soteriological grace of Irenaeus, the bishop of Lyon as well as theologian in the 2nd century. The reason for choosing creation theology for the ecological crisis that modern people are facing at the global level is that creation theology deals with the relationship of all beings comprehensively in the cosmological framework of the relationship between God and the world. The reason why I have chosen Irenaeus' creation theology also is that his creation theology deals with the whole area of creation in which the Triune God continues his creative activities as well as salvific activity with the salvation economy. Irenaeus contributed to establishing an understanding of the creation theology about the goodness and sacramental grace of creation world against the challenge of heretical Gnosticism that threatened the truth of the Christian gospel with the dualism of spirit and body at that time. Furthermore, Irenaeus argues that the creation world changes, grows, and matures toward eschatological perfection through the continuing creation and salvation plan of the Triune God, finally completing a new creation. I hope that Irenaeus' creation theology of soteriological grace can bring about changes in the understanding of the world and the perception of life as well as life and practice of modern people living in the extreme capitalist world.
