본 연구는 우리나라에서 대표적인 학교교육 혁신 운동으로 보는 새교육 운동, 열린교육 운동, 혁신학교 운동을 매개로 초등학교 수업이 어떤 모습으로 변해 왔는지를 탐색하였다. 이를 위해서 새교육 운동, 열린교육 운동, 혁신학교 운동 관련 학교 수업을 보고한 문헌들을 중심으로 다음 두 가지 질문을 검토하였다. 첫째, 운동 중에 학교교육을 위해서 시도한 일은 무엇인가? 둘째, 운동을 통해서 실제로 학교에서는 어떤 수업이 확산되었는가? 연구 결과, 첫째, 새교육 운동은 학교에서 생활단원개발과 운영을 시도하였지만, 실제로 학교에서 교사들 사이에서는 수업모형을 적용하는 차시 수업이 널리 관심을 받았다는 점, 둘째, 열린교육 운동은 학교에서 주제중심 통합교육과정을 개발․운영하고자 도전했지만, 더 많은 학교 교사들은 좀 더 창의적인 수업을 시도하는 모습으로 확산되었다는 점, 셋째, 혁신학교 운동은 단위 학교를 중심으로 다양한 혁신 미션을 시도하는 중에, 동학년별로 교육과정을 개발해서 수업하는 양상이 드러나고 있다는 점을 탐색할 수 있었다. 이 연구 결과를 바탕으로, 각 운동을 통해서 초등학교 수업은 좀 더 표준화→다양화→개별화 방향으로 변해 왔으며, 이 과정에서 교사들이 ‘차시재구성→차시개발→단원개발’을 하는 경험을 일반화 했다는 점을 논의 하였다.
This study reviewed the New Education Movement, Open Education Movement, School innovation Movement in South Korea, and examined how elementary school classes have changed through each movement. To this end, the following two questions were reviewed, focusing on the literature that reported school classes related to the New Education Movement, the Open Education Movement, and the Innovation School Movement. First, what did you try for schooling during the movement? Second, what kind of classes actually spread in schools through the movement? As a result of the study, first, the New Education Movement attempted to develop ‘life units’ in schools, but in fact, appling the teaching model was widely attracted attention among teachers in schools. Second, but they challenged to develop ‘integrated curriculum’, more school teachers are spreading in the form of more creative classes. Third, the Innovative School Movement has attempted to innovate school based schooling. It could be explored that the same grade curriculum was developed to reveal the pattern of teaching. Based on the results of this study, It could be discussed that elementary school classes have changed in the direction of more standardization → diversification → individualization through each movement. At the same time, they provided teachers experiences to do ‘lesson remodeling→lesson making→Unit developing’.
