본 연구는 지능정보기술 시대에 예비 유아교사를 대상으로 인공지능(AI) 관련 교육을 실시하고 기술준비도, 교사효능감, AI 활용의도를 중심으로 교육의 효과성을 검증하는데 그 목적이 있다. 연구대상은 AI 유아교육의 이해와 적용 교과목을 수강한 전문대학교 유아교육과 1학년 학생 63명이며, 본 연구에서 상정한 기술준비도, 교사효능감, AI 활용의도를 측정하는 설문지를 사용하여 2020년 3월 16일부터 3월 20일까지 사전 자료 수집, 2020년 6월 29일부터 7월 30일까지 사후 자료 수집이 이루어졌다. 자료처리는 SPSS 20.0을 사용하였고 AI 교육의 효과성 검증을 위해 대응표본 t검정을 통해 사전-사후 분석을 실시하였다. 연구 결과, AI 유아교육의 이해와 적용 교과목은 예비 유아교사의 기술준비도(혁신성, 낙관주의, 불안정성, 불편감)와 교사효능감, AI 활용의도에 있어 모두 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 사전-사후 검증에서 가장 큰 평균차를 나타낸 변인은 AI 활용의도(1.32)였고, 기술준비도의 하위변인인 낙관주의(1.30), 혁신성(1.24)도 높은 평균 차를 나타냈으며 불안정성과 불편감은 다소 낮아진 것으로 확인되었다. 본 연구결과를 바탕으로 유아교육에서 AI 교육의 효과성을 높이기 위한 전략 및 방안에 대해 논의하였다.
The purpose of this study is to conduct AI education for Pre-service early childhood teachers in the era of intelligent information technology, and to verify the effectiveness of education, focusing on technology readiness, teacher self-efficacy, and intention to use AI. The subject of this study was 63 first-year students of the college's early childhood education department who took courses in understanding and application of AI early childhood education. Prior data collection was conducted from March 16 to March 20 in 2020, and post data collection was conducted from June 29 to July 30 in 2020. For data analysis, SPSS 20.0 was used, and pre-post analysis was performed through the paired t-test to verify the effectiveness of AI education. As a result of the study, it was confirmed that the ‘Understanding and application of AI early childhood education’ subjects had a significant effect on the technology readiness (innovativeness, optimism, insecurity, discomfort), teacher self-efficacy, and intention to use AI of pre-service early childhood teachers. In the pre-post verification, the variable that showed the largest average difference was the intention to use AI (1.32), and optimism (1.30) and innovativeness (1.24), which are sub-variables of technology readiness. Also, It was confirmed that insecurity and discomfort were slightly lowered. Based on the results of this study, the educational strategies and methods to increase the effectiveness of AI education in early childhood education were discussed.
