목적：본 연구는 ‘訓民正音’에서 ‘正音’의 의미를 언어학적인 관점과 음악적 관점에서 고찰하며, 또한 初聲 體系의 분류기준이 되는 것 중에서 ‘淸濁’의 의미에 대한 고찰을 목적으로 한다. 방법：인도 음운학 및 중국 성운학을 바탕으로 ‘淸濁’의 의미와 조선왕조실록과 각종 문집에서 언급한 ‘正音’의 의미를 살펴보았다. 결과：2장에서는 문헌에서 밝히는 ‘音’과 ‘正音’의 의미와 ‘訓民正音’에서의 ‘正音’과의 관련성을 살펴보았다. ‘正音’은 ‘바른 소리’라는 관점에서 音樂과 관련해서는 풍속을 어지럽히지 않는 바른 소리(음악)를 말하며 字音에서는 중국의 漢字音을 ‘正音’이라는 의미로 사용하였음을 확인하였다. 3장에서는 ‘訓民正音’에서의 ‘淸濁’의 의미는 중국의 성운학에서 영향을 받았고 나아가 그 기원이 梵語의 音聲學과 관련이 있음을 확인하였으며, 음악에서의 ‘淸濁’은 음계에 따른 표현으로 사용되었음을 확인하였다. 결론：훈민정음을 언어학적인 관점에 국한해서 해석하기보다 음성, 음악 그 외 다양한 관점에서 훈민정음을 해석할 필요성을 제시하는 데 그 의의가 있다고 하겠다.
Purpose：The purpose of this study is to contemplate the meaning of Jeong-eum of Hun-min-jeong-eum in the view of linguistics and the meaning of Cheong-tak, which are one of criteria classifying in the initial sound system. Methods：In order to accomplish this research purpose, the researcher looked into the meaning of Cheong-Tak based on Indian phonology and Chinese phonology and Jeong-eum mentioned in Josunwangjosilok and related collection of literary works. Results：In chapter 2, the researcher examined a relation between the meaning of Eum and Jeong-eum defined in collection of works and tne meaning of the Jeong-eum in Hun-min-jeong-eum. The researcher identified that Jeong-eum is a right sound which doesn’t corrupt public morals from a right sound perspective and in reference to the music and Chinese people used Jeong-eum as Chinese letter sound in letter sound aspect. In chapter 3, the researcher identified that the meaning of Cheong-Tak in Hun-min-jeong-eum was influenced by Chines phonology and originated from Sanskrit phonetic, and used as a expression of scale in music. Conclusion：It is meaningful that Hun-min-jeong-eum should be interpreted in various perspectives such as voice sound and music and etc, rather than in only a linguistic perspective.
