The purpose of this study is to classify grammatical forms of experience and use them in practical Korean language education. The grammatical forms that deliver a meaning of experience have the following characteristics: First, ‘아/어 봤다’ focuses on experienced action, while ‘ (으)ㄴ 적이 있다’ focuses on the time of experience. The former one does not place a time restriction, while the latter cannot be used for the experience of the near past. Second, ‘(으)니까’ presents the recognition of the fact resulted from mere action. On the other hand, ‘아/어 보니까’ shows the fact recognized by volitional attempts. Third, ‘고 보니까’ and ‘아/어 보니까’ expresses the fact recognized after a certain action is completed; the difference between the two is, however, a speaker delivers a new fact learned from volitional action with the latter one. ‘고 보니까’ presents the content of the preceding clause as a reason for the judgment, while ‘고 나니까’ connects the preceding clause and the following clause with the meaning of ‘opportunity’. In addition, ‘고 보니까’ focuses on the result as it presents the fact known after action is completed; ‘다가 보니까’ focuses on the process as it presents the fact known in the process of repeated action. Fourth, ‘다가 보니까’ is combined with the past tense since it shows the result known in the process of the first person's experience. However, ‘다가 보면’ is combined with the present tense or the future tense since it present a general fact that can be known when the second person experience something repeatedly. Lastly, ‘고 보면’ assumes the beginning of a certain action, while ‘다가 보면’ expresses an assumption of repeated, experienced action.
