이 논문은 시 쓰기에 입문하는 사람들이 시적 정황을 생성하는 일과 시적 언어 감각을 확보하는데 어려움이 있다는 전제에서 출발한다. 이를 위해 시를 창작하는 방법으로 소설의 언어 표현 내용을 어떻게 활용할 수 있는지를 제안하고 있다. 소설 텍스트로는 『혼불』을 선택하였는데, 『혼불』의 언어 표현 방식이 시의 언어 표현 방식과 유사한 특질이 있기 때문이다. 『혼불』의 언어 표현 방식 가운데 두드러진 것은 비유와 동일시이다. 비유는 섬세한 언어 감각을 경험하게 해주는 요소이다. 시어에 대한 감수성은 시 창작 활동에서 중요한 역할을 하는데, 『혼불』에는 시적 언어 감각을 경험할 수 있는 표현이 다양하게 서술되고 있다. 그리고 『혼불』의 인물들이 취하고 있는 동일시 전략은 시적 정황을 형성하는 방법론이 된다. 소설 속 인물의 내적 심정을 객관화된 사물, 인물, 상황을 통해 형상화하는 동일시 전략은 시적 정서를 드러내는 방식과 다르지 않다. 이러한 과정을 통해 이 논문은 『혼불』에 나타난 언어 표현 내용을 바탕으로 창작된 시를 제시하였다. 이 논문은 소설의 언어 경험을 시의 내용으로 삼는 구체적인 시 창작 방법을 제안하지는 않았다. 하지만 이 논문에서 제안하는 시 창작 방법은 시의 내용을 생성하고 시적 언어 감각을 경험하는데 의미 있는 전략이 될 것이다.
This paper starts from the premise that beginners have difficulty in creating poetic context and writing poetic language sense in poetry writing. Therefore, this paper suggests how to use the language expression of the novel as a way of creating poetry. For the text of the novel, I chose "Honbul". This is because the language expression of "Honbul" has similar characteristics to the language expression of poetry. The core of the language expression of "Honbul" is metaphor and identification. A metaphor is a factor that allows us to experience a delicate language sense. Susceptibility to poetry plays an important role in poetry creations. In "Honbul", various expressions are provided to experience the poetic language sense. And the identification strategy taken by the "Honbul" characters becomes a methodology for forming a poetic context. An identification strategy that embodies the inner mind of a character in a novel through an object, a person, and a situation is like a way of revealing poetic emotion. Through this process, this thesis presented poems created based on the contents of "Honbul". This paper does not suggest a specific method of poetry creation that uses the language experience of fiction as the content of poetry. However, the method of poetry creation suggested in this paper will be a meaningful strategy for beginners to create poetry content and experience poetic language sense.
