본고는 스마트 기기용 앱의 특성 분석, 기존의 교수매체 평가 지표 검토, 예비 검사를 통한 실용성 검증, 전문가 그룹의 안면타당도 검증의 절차를 통해 중국어 교수학습 앱 평가 체크리스트의 개발을 모색한 결과이다. 스마트 기기의 특성은 직접성, 이동성, 통합성, 현장성, 상시성의 다섯 가지로 정리되며, 이러한 특성은 앱에도 그대로 반영되어 다양한 유형, 짧은 교체주기, 하이퍼미디어적 비선형성 등의 특징을 보인다. 이러한 앱의 특성에 대응하기 위해서는 체크리스트의 가변성이 필수적이다. 이를 위해 본고는 정보 영역과 평가 영역을 분리하고, 정보 영역에서 파악된 사실에따라 평가 영역이 선택적으로 활성화되는 체크리스트 체계를 고안하였다. 본고는 이를 바탕으로 서책형 교재 평가 체크리스트에 관한 본 연구팀의 선행 연구 성과와 교수학습용 앱 평가에 관한 선행 연구 성과를 활용하여 앱의 물리적 요소와 시청각 요소에 대한 평가 항목을 포함하는 9개 범주 46개 항목의 체크리스트를 최종적으로 제안하였다.
This article is the result of endeavors to develop an evaluative checklist for Chinese language learning apps, going through the phases of analyzing the characteristics of smart-device apps, reviewing the existing teaching media evaluation criteria, examining the practicality of apps through preliminary investigation, and verifying face validity by expert groups. The characteristics of smart devices are represented by directness, mobility, integrativeness, being on-site and continuous accessibility. These features are realized in the apps as such characteristics as various types, short replacement cycles, and hypermedia nonlinearity. In order to cope with these characteristics of apps, the variability (flexibility) in the checklist is indispensable. To this end, this paper designed a checklist structure that separates the information domain from the assessment domain and activates the assessment domain optionally, according to the facts identified in the information domain. Based on these premises, this paper utilized the research team’s prior research outcomes on the textbook evaluation checklist and the existing studies on the evaluation of apps for language learning, and ultimately proposes a checklist of 46 items in nine categories, which includes the assessment items for physical and audio-visual aspects of apps.
