This study examines the overseas travel motivation and travel destinations of Korean employees by demographic factors, who belong to the nation’s largest companies in Seoul. An empirical study conducted with 232 Korean employees working for major Korean companies in Seoul, Korea who have experienced overseas travel before and are planning another one within 1 year. The core findings are as follows; First, there are significant differences of Korean employees’ motivation of overseas travel by age, education and job grade. Second, the final destination is significantly affected by their travel motivation and demographic factors. This research results imply that the overseas travel market strategy should be differentiated in accordance with motivation, age and job grade for Korean employees with major companies in order to fulfill their needs and tourism industry development.
