종교적 박해는 기독교인만 겪는 것은 아니지만 그럼에도 불구하고 종교 박해는 75%가 기독교인들을 대상으로 한다. 이런 점에서 기독교인들은 오늘날세계에서 가장 널리 박해를 받는 단일 종교 집단이라는 주장이 힘을 얻고 있다. 기독교 순교와 관련하여 20세기는 ‘피투성이의 세기’였는데, 21세기는 이런 상황이 더 악화될 것으로 전망된다. 실제로 이미 10만 명이 넘는 순교자가 나온것으로 보고되고 있는 상황이다. 기독교 박해의 경향에 대하여 오픈도어스는 크게 세 가지 경향 즉, 1) ‘국가 권위주의의 확산’, 2) ‘초강력 민족주의에 기초한 정부의 기독교 배척’, 3) ‘중동에서 사하라 사막 이남으로 과격 이슬람 세력의 확산’ 등으로 분류하였다. 이중에서도 가장 지속적이고 잔학한 박해는 역시 세 번째 경우인 이슬람 지역에서의 기독교 박해이다. 이러한 점을 보면서 본 연구는 이슬람권에서 발생하는기독교인에 대한 박해의 현황, 주요 원인, 로잔이 제시하는 대책들을 살펴보았다. 본 연구는 특별히 로잔이 발행한 Lausanne Global Analysis(로잔 글로벌 분석들)을 중심으로 박해받는 크리스천들을 도울 수 있는 길에 대하여 살펴보았다. 하지만 한 걸음 더 나아가 로잔 문서들이 놓치고 있는 부분에 대해서도 함께 살펴보면서 근본적인 해결책을 모색해보았다. 이와 같은 연구는 지금 이 순간에도 심각한 박해의 상황에 놓여있는 믿음의 형제자매들을 도와 하루속히그 고난으로부터 벗어나는 것을 돕는 데 일정 부분 기여할 것으로 기대된다.
Christians are not the only ones persecuted in the world today. But nevertheless, 75% of the religious persecution is aimed at Christians. So Charles Tieszen argues that “Christians are the single most widely persecuted religious group in the world today.” He also mentioned, following Johnson and Crossing’s view, that the twentieth century was the ‘bloodiest century’ especially with regard to Christian martyrdom, but in the twenty-first century about 100,000 Christians were already martyred by 2013, and this trend is expected to increase. Regarding the tendency of Christian persecution, Open Doors broadly categorized three trends: 1) the spread of ‘state’ authoritarianism, 2) Christian exclusion by the government based on ultra-strong nationalism, 3) Spread of radical Islamic forces from the Middle East to the sub-Saharan. Among these three categories the most persistent and brutal persecution of Christians is occurring in Muslim areas. In view of this, this study investigated the current state of persecution, the main causes, and the ways of help proposed by Lausanne for the persecuted Christians in the Islamic world. For this purpose this paper referred largely to the articles named Lausanne Global Analysis published by Lausanne to find out the ways to help for the persecuted Christians. But I went a step further and looked at the missing parts of the Lausanne documents and explored the fundamental solutions. Such research is expected to contribute in part to helping brothers and sisters of faith who are undergoing a serious persecution situation at this moment.
