항공서비스 학과들은 입학과 동시에 진로준비 행동을 하게 되는데, 직업정보 부족, 흥미 부족, 불안정한 심리, 심각한 취업 환경 문제 등으로 진로장벽에 직면하게 된다. 이에 본 연구는 강한 내재적 동기로 자신감을 회복하여 차별화된 진로준비 행동을 할 필요가 있는바, 항공서비스 전공 학생들을 대상으로 자기 결정성이 진로준비 행동에 미치는 영향과 진로 결정 몰입의 매개효과를 검증하고자 하였다. 분석결과, 자기 결정성 하위요인인 자율성, 유능성, 관계성이 높아질수록 진로 결정 몰입도 높아짐이 규명되었고, 진로 결정 몰입도 취업준비행동에 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미침이 도출되었다. 그러나 자기 결정성이 취업준비행동에 직접 미치는 영향에 있어서 유능성만이 채택되었다. 진로 결정 몰입은 자율성과 관계성이 취업 준비 행동에 미치는 영향 경로에서만 완전 매개역할을 했으며 유능성이 취업준비행동에 영향을 미치는 경로에서는 부분 매개역할을 한 것이다. 따라서 학생의 성공적인 취업준비행동을 위해서는 자율성과 관계성을 증진하기 위한 사회 및 학교 환경 조성을 통해 진로 결정 몰입을 높여 성공적인 취업준비행동을 증진 시킬 것을 시사하였다.
The purpose of this study is to verify the effect of self-determination on career preparation and its mediating effect on students’ commitment to a career choice. This research presupposes that students need to restore their confidence through strong inner-motivation and then prepare themselves in their own unique way to find a decent job. The research results show that autonomy, competence, and relationship, which are sub-factors of self-determination, bring a higher commitment to a career choice. Also, the commitment to a career choice shows a positive relationship with career preparation behaviors. However, only competence has a direct influence on career preparation behaviors. In the aspect of commitment to a career choice, autonomy and relationship played a fully mediating role in career preparation. On the other hand, competence played a partial mediating role in career preparation. Therefore, for a student to successfully prepare for a career, creating a social or campus environment that attempts to increase student autonomy and relationships is required. The construction of such an environment would reinforce the students’ commitment to a career choice and lead to better career preparation behavior.
