본 논문의 연구목적은 「현대인을 위한 불교의 갈등방안연구-화엄경 입법계품을 중심으로-」주제에 대한 규명․분석에 있다. 본 연구에서 핵심적으로 다루어질 연구내용은 크게 세 가지 관점이다. 먼저 제Ⅱ장에서는 갈등의 본질에 대한 이해에 대해 분석해보았다. 여기서는 3가지 측면의 내용에 주목하였는데, 첫째는 갈등의 개념에 대해 살펴보고, 둘째는 갈등의 종류와 기능을 분석해볼 것이고, 세 번째로는 갈등에 대한 불교적 이해는 무엇인지 불교 경전과 주석서등을 중심으로 고찰해볼 것이다. 다음 제Ⅲ장에서는 사회과학적 해결방안에서 본 갈등에 대해 분석해볼 것이다. 그 첫 번째로 살펴본 것은 갈등 요인이고, 두 번째는 갈등 관리의 전략에 대해 언급해 본 다음, 세 번째로 살펴볼 것은 갈등 해결방안과 불교적 방안 필요성이다. 제Ⅳ장에서는 불교의 『화엄경』 「입법계품」에 담긴 갈등방안에 대해 규명해볼 것이다. 여기서는 4가지 측면에 접근하여 살펴볼 것이다. 첫째는 『화엄경』 「입법계품」의 갈등인식과 해결방법은 무엇인지를 경전과 화엄주석서를 통해 분석해보고, 둘째는 그렇다면 『화엄경』 「입법계품」 에 등장하는 53선지식의 갈등관리 프로그램은 무엇인지 규명해볼 것이다. 셋째는 『화엄경』 입법계품의 보살도사상과 갈등관리는 어떻게 연결되어 있는지를 살펴보고, 넷째는 사회과학적 해결방안과 불교적 해결방안의 비교를 통해 이러한 갈등방안이 어떻게 오늘을 사는 우리 현대인에게 적용될 수 있는지 분석해볼 것이다.
The purpose of this study is to investigate and analyze this topic: 「A Study on the Buddhistic Solutions of Conflicts for Contemporaries -Focusing on the Avatamska Sutra(華嚴經) Ipbeopgyepum(入法界品)-」. The contents to be dealt mainly with in this study are largely three perspectives. First, in Chapter Ⅱ, this author analyzes understanding over the essence of conflict. Here, this study is focused on three sides. This researcher first examines the concept of conflict, second analyzes the types and functions of conflicts, and third considers Buddhistic understanding over conflict based on Buddhist scriptures and annotation books. Next, in Chapter Ⅲ, this research analyzes conflict grounded on solutions in the area of social studies. This author first examines the factors of conflict, second mentions strategies to manage conflict, and third looks into the necessity of solutions for conflict and Buddhistic measures. In Chapter Ⅳ, this author investigates solutions for conflict contained in Buddhism’s 『(Buddha)Avatasaka Sūtra』 「Ipbeopgyepum」. Here, it is examined with an approach to four aspects. This researcher first analyzes recognition on conflict and solutions for it found in 『(Buddha)Avatasaka Sūtra』「Ipbeopgyepum」 grounded on the scriptures and annotation books for Hwaeom and second examines the program of managing conflict utilized by 53 kalyāamitra (善知識 appearing in 『The Avatamska Sutra』 「Ipbeopgyepum」. This author third studies how Bosaldosasang in 『The Avatamska Sutra』 Ipbeopgyepum is associated with managing conflict and fourth analyzes how such solutions for conflict can be applied to contemporaries living in this age by comparing solutions in social studies with those in Buddhism.
