Through the Sangjungjobji written by Park sungwon, this paper reviewed the discussion of the actual and major issues of the duplicated funerals. Although the process of wearing mourning clothes was a little delayed, funeral items were prepared in advance so the funeral of Park sungwon’s mother was carried out according to the prescribed procedures. Park Sungwon conducted and recorded the procedure of the funeral, focusing on Sarepyeonram, the writing of his teacher, Lee Jae. However, after the death of his older brother, Park Choiwon, and his wife, the duplicated funerals began, resulting in a series of variations due to lack of resources and manpower. They failed to keep the funeral procedure and performed anomaly rites. In those days of frequent duplicated funerals at the time, it could be seen that practical constraints played a greater role than in ritual practice. Park Jongsik, Park Choiwon’s successor and the second son of Park Sungwon, became a chief mourner of duplicated 3 funerals, and Park Sungwon led the whole ceremony. In holding 3 funerals, it was necessary to distinguish each importance of funerals and set the order of procedure. The Father’s funeral was clearly more important than the mother’s, Since the grandmother’s funeral and the father's funeral could not be determined, the grandmother’s funeral was the first to proceed with all the procedures. Park Sungwon wanted to prepare new guidelines for the duplicated funerals through Sangjungjobji. In the case of Yeuiryujip written by Park Sungwon, he did not reveal his judgment, only organizing various examples of the issues of the duplicated funerals. On the other hand, in Sangjungjobji, he intended to select and practice reasonable examples based on its accumulated ritual knowledge. In addition, if no evidence was found, several scholars were consulted to develop guidelines for the new practice. In Sangjungjobji, Park Sungwon emphasized the legitimacy of his teacher's studies through active practice of Sarepyeonram. Sarepyeonram showed a considerable difference from Sangrebiyo written by Kim Jangsang, and Park Sungwon focused on securing the academic superiority of Lee Jae, while actively responding to the criticism. However, the shortage of manpower and material due to the duplicated funerals became a serious constraint on the application of the ritual book. If it was inevitable, it could be seen that realistic problems are recognized and funeral procedures are carried out as far as possible.
