본 연구는 윤제홍의 <한라산도>에 대한 고찰이다. 그에 앞서 논의를 돕기 위해 윤제홍의 생애와 그에 따른 화풍에 대해서 알아보았다. <한라산도>는 한라산 백록담 그림과 한라산 유기를 한 화면에 배치하여 완성된 그림이다. 그래서 그림과 유기를 각각 분석할 필요가 있다. 우선 유기의 내용을 분석한 결과 여정과 함께 유람 장소의 풍토 및 관련 전설들을 비교적 짧은 분량 속에 적절히 녹여낸 작품임을 확인할 수 있었다. 이어서 <한라산도> 전체 구도에서 그림과 제발로서 유기가 갖는 효과에 대해 알아보았다. <한라산도>에서 제발이 그림 전체의 조형성을 고려한 요소로서 역할 하게 되는 것과 관련하여, 청나라 화단 및 추사 김정희의 <불이선난>의 구도를 함께 살펴보았다. 그리고 <한라산도>의 제발이 백록담 주변을 완상하는 유람객의 시선과 발길을 연상하게 하고 화면 전체를 촘촘히 메우며 여느 산수화에서는 느낄 수 없는 독특한 미감을 느끼게 한다는 것을 확인하였다. 다음으로는 <한라산도>가 조선후기 기행예술의 향유 방식 변화의 자장 안에 있음을 밝혔다. 마지막으로 분석한 <한라산도>에 나타난 체험의 가시화 방법은 <한라산도>가 갖는 가장 중요한 의미이다. 여행 체험을 기억하는 대표적인 방법인 산수유기와 기행사경도를 같은 화면 안에 요령 있게 융합시켜 그 체험을 효과적으로 가시화하고 있다는 것이 <한라산도>의 핵심적인 의의라고 생각한다.
This study is an analysis of Yoon Je-hong's <Hallasando>. In order to help the discussion before that, I looked at the life of Yoon Je-hong and the style of painting. <Hallasando> is a painting completed by placing Hallasan Baengnokdam and Hallasan Yugi(遊記) on one screen. So it is necessary to analyze each picture and Yugi(遊記). First of all, as a result of analyzing the contents of the Yugi(遊記), it was confirmed that it was a work that properly melted the climate and related legends of the excursion site along with the journey in a relatively short amount. Subsequently, the effects of Yugi(遊記) as pictures and Jebal(題跋) were examined in the overall composition of <Hallasando>. It was confirmed that <Halla Sando>‘s Jebal(題跋) reminiscent of the gaze and footsteps of the tourists who wander around Baeknokdam, and fills the entire screen, making it feel a unique aesthetic that cannot be felt in any landscape painting. Next, he revealed that <Hallasando> is in the field of change in the way of enjoying travel art in the late Joseon Dynasty. The method of visualizing the experiences in <Hallasando> analyzed last is the most important meaning of <Hallasando>. I think that the key significance of <Hallasando> is that it effectively visualizes the experience by integrating the travel device, which is a typical way of remembering the travel experience, into the same screen.
