본 연구의 목적은 의사결정학습모형에 기초한 유아 참여권 증진프로그램을 개발하고 그 효과를 살펴보는 것이다. 연구자는 5단계 절차에 따라 의사결정학습모형에 기초한 유아 참여권 증진프로그램을 개발하고, 그 효과를 광주광역시 M 어린이집의 만 5세 유아 30명을 대상으로 살펴보았다. 실험집단 유아 15명은 본 프로그램에, 비교집단 유아 15명은 누리과정에 따른 일상적인 활동에 참여하였다. 연구결과는 실험집단 유아의 참여권과 의사결정력 점수가 비교집단보다 유의미하게 향상한 것으로 나타났다. 의사결정학습모형에 기초한 유아 참여권 증진프로그램이 유아의 참여권과 의사결정력 향상에 긍정적 영향을 미치는 것이다. 결국 본 연구는 의사결정학습모형에 기초한 유아 참여권 증진프로그램의 교육적 효과를 보여줌으로써 유아 참여권 증진을 위한 교수-학습 활동에 관한 정보를 제공한다. 유아 참여권 증진의 중요성과 효과성에 관한 정보를 제공함으로써 본 연구는 유아교육현장에서 유아 참여권이 효과적으로 증진하는 데 이바지할 것이다.
This study aims to develop enhancing program for young children’s participation rights based on decision-making learning model and to investigate the effects of the program. Researchers developed a 5-step enhancing program for young children’s participation rights based on decision-making learning model. The effects of the program were observed from thirty 5-years-old children attending M preschool in Gwangju metropolitan city. Among those, fifteen children belonged to the experimental group participated in the enhancing program, and the other fifteen in the comparative group participated in the routine activities according to the Nuri Curriculum. The results showed that the experimental group exhibited meaningfully higher scores than those of the comparative group in participation rights and decision-making ability. The enhancing program for young children’s participation rights based on decision-making learning model positively affected young children’s participation rights and decision-making ability. As a result, this study provides the information on teaching-learning activities toward enhancing young children’s participation rights. The enhancing program shows the educational effects for young children’s participation rights based on decision-making learning model. By providing the information on the importance and effectiveness of enhancing young children’s participation rights, this study would effectively contribute toward enhancement of young children’s participation rights in the early childhood field.
