The purpose of this study is to understand the effect of mindfulness on aircraft crew’s level of job exhaustion. Employee tenure was used as a moderating variable to measure the effect of mindfulness on job exhaustion. A survey was conducted with Korean Air airlines cabin crews, and 266 respondents were included in the final analysis after eliminating invalid questionnaires. The results of the study show that the three mindfulness factors of anxiety, worry, and deviation from reality negatively impact job burnout. The moderating effects of employee tenure were only found to be significant for concentration loss and emotional exhaustion. These results support the importance of strengthening mindfulness to help reduce job exhaustion of cabin crews.
