본 연구에서는 플라톤이 『국가』에서 주장했었던 이상국가 내용 중 계급사회로 해석될 수 있는 일부 내용과, 정의로운 이상국가가 되기 위해선 시민들과 다른 1인의 ‘철인통치’로 이루어져야 한다는 내용이 북한의 통치이념인 주체사상 내용 중 ‘사회생명체 유기체론’과 일맥상통하다는 점에 착안하여 그러한 이상국가가 현실세계에서 발현되었을때는 ‘이상’국가가 아닌 ‘이상한’국가가 될 수도 있다는 것을 밝히는 데 그 의의가 있다. 주체사상의 ‘사회생명체 유기체론’과 플라톤 『국가』의 ‘사람은 자신의 천성에 가장 적합한 한 가지 일을 해야 한다’라는 논제를 비교 분석하고 북한체제 속에 어떠한 형태로 정책이 구현되었는지를 살펴봄으로써 플라톤이 말한 ‘이상사회’의 일부 면모가 현실사회로 구현되면 어떠한 국가 형태가 될 것인지 가정해 보았고 실제 북한에 존재하고 있는 계층과 분류를 분석하고, 북한의 사회통제를 물리적 통제와 사상적 통제 개념으로 나뉘어 분석해 본 다음 현대사회에서 가장 중요하게 여기는 ‘민주주의’의 가치와는 정 반대의 개념이 플라톤이 생각하는 이상국가에 내포되어 있다는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.
In this study, contents that ideal state that plato suggested in 『Politeia』 can be interpreted as class society and arguments that ideal government with justice can be built only to be ruled by only one philosopher king, not by the people have a threaded connection with Organic theory of social life, which is one of North Korea’s Juche ideology. The purpose of this paper is to clarify when such an ideal state is revealed in the real world, it can be a 'strange' state, not an 'ideal’ state. this paper carries out the imaginatory experiment in that what kind of state would be built when some parts of ‘ideal state’ that Plato insisted became true in the real world: by analyzing the comparative analysis of the subject of 'Juche Ideology', 'Organic theory of social life', and argument of Plato’s 『Politeia』 that 'People should do one thing that is most appropriate for their nature,' and by examining what kind of policy is implemented in the North Korean system. In addition to analyzing the classes that exist in North Korea and the social control of North Korea in terms of physical control and ideological control, it was confirmed that the concept opposite to the value of 'democracy', which is most important in modern society, is contained in the ideal state as far as Plato thinks.
