The purpose of this article is to examine the appearance of language in the ChosunIlbo published in the 1920s and to examine its value as a research material for Korean language. For this purpose, this article examined the linguistic aspects of the ChosunIlbo text by dividing them into writing, phoneme and form-related aspects, vocabulary use and meaning-related aspects, and syntactic aspects. The language patterns shown in the 1920s ChosunIlbo are considered meaningful in that they can contribute to the realistic study of the Korean language of this period, which was in the midst of the formation of modern Korean language. If the research is carried out by actively utilizing the digitized Chosun Ilbo text as a language research material, it is expected that it will receive considerable help not only in the research of modern Korean language but also in the study of the Korean language of the previous period.
