The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact of traditional costume experience on existential authenticity and festival satisfaction in the context of the historical culture festival. The data were collected through field survey with a total of 322 participants who experienced the traditional costume at the 23rd Danyang Ondal Culture Festival. The results showed that the traditional costume experience was derived from three factors: Escape, Togetherness, and Novelty. Togetherness and Novelty were found to have significant impacts on existential authenticity while Escape had no significant effect on existential authenticity. However, Escape was found to have a significant influence on festival satisfaction. The results of this study are expected to help festival practitioners find effective ways to enhance festival satisfaction when designing festival programs in terms of traditional costume experience.
